On my way back from repairing traction motor leads. To access the leads, I had to ride the drop table over two tracks and up under the locomotive. There I could repair and solder new glad hands onto the leads.

Cab ride as we shake-down freshly rebuilt CP GP38-2 #4425 a former SOO Line locomotive. You are riding from the East end of the shop complex to the West end track limits of the IAIS interchange yard.

CP GP38-2 rebuilds include removing the prime mover which has to be moved to a semi flatbed trailer to be sent to another NRE shop for refurbishing.

CP 3084 being air-lifted from the ramp to the frame straightener fro under frame repairs. The floor in the nose area will be replaced with new sheet metal which is notorious for rust.
