I have the North Wind on my TBR, I'm curious to see how I feel about it. I also have Nectar, but I'm a bit hesitant because someone whose reading taste is very similar to mine really didn't like the book. ❄❄

So excited! I've taken the last couple months off team readathons but this is perfect timing to jump back in! I did have an issue joining the discord, not sure if that's just a me-thing

the aiel made me think of the fremen from dune, though they're probably based on arabic Bedouins who were desert people. you can thank TE Lawrence for that whole vein of tropes. i love nynaeve because she just sledgehammers her way through the plot. when elayne hit her head while scrubbing the pot in the kitchen i laughed really hard. it felt really in character for her. the comedy is sparse but i think it hits harder when it is used because of that.

I'm saving glow and heat for Battleathon!
