Nope. The passenger side has a different style ball bearing. Just the roller bearing on the driver side that goes bad. Thanks for watching and commenting

They didn't like sharing the same space. I had to do some trimming and massage with a big hammer from the bottom to about 7" up. I have a video on how I fit them. czcams.com/video/v_WWtg1H6us/video.html

Hmmmmmmm That's odd. Sure you have the wires in the correct places? Carburetor, correct? Is the distributor installed correctly?

You'll want to be sure and check all the obvious stuff again just incase a bad wire or cracked plug or something simple. You probably already did that

It's easy to check the timing with the valve cover off. Also inspect the cam and make sure all valves are adjusted Did you do a compression check?

@@funjunkiegarage yeah did a compression check, 150 on both 3 and 4, checked all sparks plugs getting spark. Carburated set up on it

@@funjunkiegarage got distributor set TDC runs on 1/2 pistons, tried to advance it and it won't run at all

@@funjunkiegarage I've owned my 01 limited for 13 years now and have never replaced this carrier bearing so I am guessing it is original. It is torn so I plan on (trying) to replace it myself. You make it look so easy. What is the point of staking it?

The point of me shaking it is to show excessive movement in the shaft. The point of the carrier bearing is to keep the driveshaft centered and solid (to a point) in the middle. When they wear out, the drive shaft can move up & down with acceleration & deceleration as well as shake & shimmy around at steady speeds. Usually if it's real bad the shaft just rests at the bottom of the bearing housing when parked. If your old one is original, it will say Aisin on the housing and have a timken bearing inside. It is as easy as it looks in the video. I'd spend the $$ on the Spicer brand unit. Other viewers have said it's way better. Honestly this Anchor brand unit I installed in this video is already failing. Lastly, don't go mega buck on the solid kind with the solid polyurethane center. The vibration transfer is crazy unless your driveline is flawlessly perfect. Really hope this helps. Would love to hear how the project goes. Cheers

207,000 miles currently . I've regeared and gone up to 35s on it also.

@@funjunkiegarage yup just saw your fitting 35s video i have an 01 rwd tundra that i love but i need to sell it or maybe trade it for a v8 4x4 so i can really do overlanding and snow wheeling, plan on doing the same mods and going up to 35s, what gears are you running? I was thinking when my time comes to do 4:88s or 5:29s

My truck had 3.90 gears from the factory. I regeared to 4.10s because I got them free. I will be going to 4.88s when I get a selectable locker for the front. But that's probably not happening till next year. Thank you for watching and supporting my channel.

#1 is driver side, front of engine. TDC is when the #1 piston reaches the very top of its stroke. TDC on the compression stroke is what you want, not exhaust stroke. You can confirm compression stroke by checking the position of the flywheel. It's a very strange method for sure.

I didn't know it was like that until I did this video. Said I'd change it and never did. I sold it to a buddy, he daily drove it in Missouri, in the Ozarks. He sold it to a local Missouri guy and it still has that rotor on it, and still gets daily driven in the mountains. Clearly, that makes no difference. I thought it was hilarious also. No, I didn't tighten it too tight. I never torque. The seal was not in too far and no headaches. It works perfectly, doesn't leak and has had 1000s of miles put on it without issue. It's fine.

I wish I could. I got it from Rock Auto and I cannot share a link from them. Put in Chevrolet ,1990, c1500, 5.7, then go to fuel/air and select throttle body rebuild kit Hope this helps
