What's the point of a point and shoot? Considering you cant change the lens would your phone not be just as good and fast if not better?

I HAVE A QUESTION... so i want to buy a setup for under 300 euros.. my options are Sony Nex 5 + Sigma 30mm f1.4 OR Sony Nex 7 + Brightinstar 50mm f1.8 WHICH ONE DO YOU SUGGEST? (Both cost around 280 euros used)

The reason the 6000 only says "AVCHD" is because XAVC-S was added long after launch. Originally only supported AVCHD.

I've been rocking mine since september of 2012, still takes really nice photos! My scroll wheel doesn't work anymore so can't shoot manually. Maybe it's time for an upgrade

Hey Kraig, I'm glad you love this camera so much! I had it for a few years and I bring it with me every time I travel, but I often struggle with post production, as I feel the colours are not often right. Could you make a video about which settings you use with this camera to shoot photos and videos and some tips to get the best out of it? If a video doesn't work for you, even a comment or an addition to the video description might be useful!

Originals the best... Few moving parts like the screen and viewfinder so way less to knock or worry about dust or water getting in. 12 years old now, more than 100k shots on it and it's still as good as new.

Just got an A5000 for under $200 and it included the 18-55 lens, because it's what I could afford. But once I'm more familiar with the Sony ecosystem (I'm a longtime Canon EOS DSLR and Film user) and trying out this whole mirrorless thing, I'll know where I might go next. :)

Fucking love the a5100. I have it in white too. Good photography for traveling as it’s compact. The stock lens gets the job done. I also use it for streaming/ gaming on my pc with a dummy battery and a 4k cam link setup. The flip up can be used as a monitor and for selfies 😂🙂‍↕️

I bought one of these with the kit lens for $50. I also own an A7Riii with a bunch of lenses that I can use on this camera. The Sony 24-240 looks ridiculous on this camera, but can get awesome zoom.

For photos there really aren't that many bad cameras. Most cameras after 2007/2008 are good as long as you have manual settings. Video is a different story, it was a side feature for a long time, that took a lot longer to get good on cameras that were made primarily for photos.

That is just not a good point because a phone can do way more than a camera can and not just in terms of the cameras looks and how the pictures and videos turn out I mean by the amount of storage the other use cases applications, etc. the phone is just better so if you wanna buy a shitty camera, I wouldn’t see why you’d wanna do that. Just buy a phone with the battery bank.
