love this podcast, i feel better because there is a community who understand what i understand, i am only alive because of kriya, meditation.......i rewired my brain and rebuilt my body meditating for 10 years.......i know all about the forces, it organizes me, it holds me, if i get crohns disease i can reverse it in 3 weeks with little food...yes its challenging to to see the beauty at all times, i am working to find the power at all time, to soften my fears

I entered a period of darkness about 12 years ago. At the time everything of who I thought was was stripped away. I spent 9 months in a quiet solitude. This period of time in my life I described as my walk in the wilderness. Much like the void Sandra describes. I found so much of myself during my darkness. I found forgiveness, understanding, and acceptance for myself. I found love and healing for myself and became whole.

terrific talk (already/so far... am taking a break midway,** to absorb first half -- and the recollections it's causing to arise) **specifically, after matthew's disclaimer, in order to joke, 'actually you DO SOUND quite a bit like a mastermind historian' ---in an appreciative way, to be sure; am not suggesting you are creating a simplifying master narrative, matthew, not at all) really grateful for the point that the advent of 'the neoliberal age of austerity' -- & worse -- was palpable in the 70s and 80s, because it WAS (whatever some say now to make it seem as if atavistic social policies and behavious just sort of crept in slowly and imperceptibly. a great deal of self-serving accommodation to the new regimes was made ( & rationsalisations used) by many one would not have expected to drink THAT kool-aid. (& so a 2nd dose of despondency ensued for some.) looking forward to the rest of the talk. thanks also to ross, especially for situating it a) territorially, and b) sensitively well. _/\_ c.

What untangles the lesson from the trauma, for me, is excusing others entirely from my experience. Ownership of all outcomes neutralizes the paralytic effect of intense *interpersonal* emotions and allows some space to bring clarity and compassion. ❤
