Hey Trent, For many reactive dogs the goal isnt interacting with other dogs. Its being able to just pass them without conflict and anxiety. So for many dog owners this does help on their walks and is a good start to work on neutrality. My other dog only does this after a bath. Never after rain haha

It depends on the dog. I would do 5 min per session and then depending how urgent it is, i would do 3x 5 sessions a day (so 25 min total) and hopefully you can get it in after 2 days (10 sessions) but only if its urgent. If its less urgent I would go with 2-3 sessions a day for like a week straight and then repeat every few days.

How much work have you done with the foster away from dogs? Building engagement, loose leash walking and practising what to do if they see a trigger? Is it wrong though for the pink lady to get fed up if the grey lady doesnt want to listen to earlier (kind) instructions?

@@thecompletecanine I guess it depends where you are though with your dog. If it is a public park/dog park then its not really fair to the grey lady/dog to be told off for being friendly

True - i made these for just any area youre allowed to have hour dog off leash. It doesnt apply to a fenced off dog park although dogs should still have good manners there too

Oh i def dont use the ecollar for a bit of fun. Ive got a video somewhere on yt where i do fhat and every round whatever he has to run past becomes harder. I end on a duck wing I think.. This time i didnt prep him at all and i just went right into it and he was like alright lets have snacks 😂 I didnt really mind. We were having a bit of fun

This took a lot of work, i had the bunnies before the dogs haha. I dont have any videos on that. Youd have to start with lots of recall and impulse control work.

Its all in proportion right. If its currently hot and hes getting older and thats how you enjoy walks. Awesome. I think its the constant messages out there lately that every dog should do sniffaris because its the best thing everrrr… and then have themselves be dragged all over the place with 0 respect on the leash.
