This channel to is capture the path and tell our (husband and wife) story of acquiring recreational land and the transformations to come. We will explore glamping tents, container homes, land improvement, family adventures and memories made with friends and family.
Container & Kitty - EP 5
Came to the property today to receive the container delivery. We got a big blue 40 footer. I brush cut a bit around around the pond. Highlighted the Shokz bone conducting headphones I wear out here when working. We also had a kitty friend show up for a pet session. Left some things there in the container so that i dont have to haly as much each time we come out to work.

With heavy mowing like that, how much fuel do you use and what grade/octane of fuel? May be overkill but I always run 93 in my engines so I know they're getting the best juice.
I do much heavier duty use from my DR in 35 degree slopes and it’s amazingly good

just a bit of advice.... when you set the ramps on the tailgate, you should fasten them securely to the truck i had a friend whose fourtrax fell due to the ramp on one side slipping off. he was badly injured. i secure mine with a ratchet strap on each one secured to the bumper under the truck bed.
They are secured to the hitch with straps. The straps are just hard to see in the video.
is that machine mulching what it cuts? i dont see any debris!! That would be AMAZING!! i have 5 acres that look just like that! ha! Man i need me one a thoze!
I would not say it’s a true mulching but yes it does really well.
How short does it cut the grass , weeds , etc. does it mulch the foliage pretty fine ? I have a 5 acre place to deal with and a tractor with a 5 foot wide mower deck is just not in the budget.
4” tall cut I believe. The fineness is a bit based but on the the amount/density and wetness of the weeds. I would buy this thing again is a heartbeat. It is not a finish mired but seems to cut size from a mulch to a couple of inches. I have been impressed. Woodiers stuff if green seems to stay a bit longer in that 2” section and smaller.
Good work with that DR mower. Have you done any more clearing with it? I just got one of the 26 inch models but haven't had a chance to use it.
Yeah have been out there two more weekends with it. I hav hit old steel rims, cinder block and metal scraps with it. Total rock star. Did break a connector on the shifter but they have ordered the part for me to fix. Still love it!!

If you didn’t call 811 and have gas pipes marked or if the gas is on the same side you’re using it, I’d definitely recommend it
From prior projects calling 811 I already know I already know I have no buried utilities running in my back yard. Thanks for the safety check! Never know who knows and who dosent. 👍🏼
