@@HalfFastCruisers it was a 2 hour tour on the way back. We spit it 4 ways and got some fantastic photos. I was just letting you know it was $100 return by taxi. Not $250. But it was well worth it.

Well that makes it more of a bargain than anything else. Especially, if you consider the cost of ship excursions. Thanks for correcting the taxi fare, I'm sure our viewers appreciate it.

We went the first week in May. The seas were calm, but we had a couple of rainy days when we were there.

We stayed at the Hotel Villa Durrueli Resort & Spa Ischia. It was central to the old town and the port. We walked to the castle area numerous times while we were there.

So cool! Thanks for sharing that information. We were there in May, and we had a fantastic time. We hope to return someday soon.

The vans were lined up when we got off the ship, and they operated like taxis. No prior reservation required. Just keep in mind that you might have to wait for them to fill before they leave. Have fun on your trip.

We don't remember the exact cost. Each trip was less than $10 per person. (Possibly $5 each in St. George and $7 each to Horseshoe Bay)

Congratulations on your first cruise. We hope you have a great time. The "behind-the-scenes" tours have gotten pretty expensive, but once you get to a certain loyalty level they are free of charge. We're happy to show these when we can. Have fun!

@@nicolewiltsey7793 what a coincidence,we are visiting with them right now. They missed several opportunities to go ashore due to weather. They also had to deal with a last minute excursion cancellation without notice on Royal Caribbean which they are still unhappy about. We think these issues are the exception and not the rule so plan away and hope for the best. We hope you enjoy your cruise, wish you an early Happy Anniversary.

Third, we only cruise Norwegian (family favorite) which unfortunately my hubby got seasick back in 2016 to the Caribbean & vowed never to cruise again🫤. Brought my son (graduation present) in 2018 to Bermuda & it was just soooo beautiful and felt soooo SAFE that I knew I had to go back w hubby. He only agreed to cruise cuz it was 3 overnights in Bermuda & so much cheaper than a flight w hotel and OF COURSE - our 30th anniversary😃. Thanks for letting me know it was due to weather, hopefully it wasn’t around the end of October when our cruise is😉, hehehe. Yes it was! It was the Villa Durrueli Resort & Spa. Pretty reasonably priced with a great complimentary breakfast. Walking distance to the area around the castle. Need to drive to the Porto though.

It was nice to meet you folks as well. It was a short cruise, but we packed a ton of enjoyment into those few days didn't we? We hope to go back when the water is a tad warmer. I guess it's our Floridian blood. Happy Sailing!

Yes, it is pretty dark, and very damp. Also, they frown on photos and video because they need to keep the tour moving, and don't want people stopping every few feet to get the perfect pics. If you are going to try to take photos or video please do not use lights or flash as a courtesy to others on the tour. We suggest you concentrate on the absolute beauty and majesty of an incredible and unique place on Earth. We hope you enjoy your trip.
