Aurora Over Rainier
It's extremely rare to get Northern Lights strong enough to be seen in the lower 48 states. It's also rare to get a clear night over a cloud inversion. Add in no moon and the Perseids Meteor Shower and you get this... No other photographer captured this event from this location.

Come along as I experience my first solo backpacking night at Observation Peak Lookout in Yellowstone National Park. I was able to see Buffalo, A Red Fox, a marmot and four grizzly (a sow and three cubs living near Cascade Lake). Backpacking for the views, the animals, the wildflowers and for the challenge of doing something new.

Just a little correction: In your most recent Yellowstone National Park vlog, those were actually Bison you saw, not Buffalo. Bison have a beard and shorter horns while Buffalo have longer, more curvy horns and no beard. It’s not that big of a deal tho because every American gets those two confused with each other.😂

Came across this video and found that you are the person that we (two Chinese) met on the trail near the Vivian Lake on the evening of July 19. We had chatted a little and you gave us some information. Very appreciated. By the way, we did not make it that day. We stopped hiking after 830pm. Just too dark! We waited till dawn to continue the trek. Thank you and hope to see you again on the other trails
