Thanks man, I’m glad you liked it. I went out last week and left the GoPros at the house and we needed up getting 15 flounder and 3 sheepshead between me, my uncle, and brother. I may try to do a few more of these before flounder season ends.

Kayak fishing is fun. My dad bought a new boat a few years ago and I talked him into getting a kayak. We’ve probably only taken the boat out a hand full of times since. I would just suggest getting what you want the first time. I started in a little pelican kayak and then I saw people standing up fishing, so then I decided to move on and I got a ascend kayak from bass pro, after having that kayak I saw someone cruising by with a pedal drive which then made me get a Hobie compass. I like the Hobie compass and still have one but after flipping one good time, I decided to get a Hobie pro angler. If you don’t go ahead and get what you want, you’ll be wishing you did like me. I love kayak fishing. I do know a few who fish tournaments with us who have the Zulu and they love it. It’s a good kayak.

I went out there this past Sunday. The water level is up prettty good. There’s a good amount of grass in the lake but there’s a lot of areas without it, if you’re trying to avoid it. If you’re looking for grass to fish in 5’-6’, there’s plenty of it out there.

Rowell has a lot of hydrilla in it. There’s a little bit in Sampson but it’s full of some other type of grass. We had a kayak tournament out there and only one person was able to get a limit. The guy who finished second only caught 2 fish. The water is pretty muddy right now. I think all the storm run off from the previous hurricane has the water messed up. The fishing seemed pretty tough. It might be worth taking the trip to Rodman. It may have just been a bad day though.

If you’re talking about the Richard White who won the tournament, that’s my dad. He actually caught his fish in a kayak but got out on the bank to submit photos because he was worried about them jumping off the board. I also do have a twin brother though 😂

It’s fun when they’re biting. Certain times they will stack up in there pretty thick. I think they like that deep water grass line.

I’m fishing tournaments out of a Nucanoe Unlimited. I have a Motorguide xi3 trolling motor, Garmin 93sv fish finder w/ garmin Livescope LVS 32 transducer. In the back, I have a Yak Attack Black Pack holding my tackle and rods. I use lithium batteries to power everything. My Nucanoe Unlimited has been good to me. It’s a very stable kayak and I like how open it is. Thanks for the comment!

I’ve been asked by a few people about the lakes I’m fishing. I really don’t want to say because I don’t want them getting over run by people. It’s nice having something special and not having everyone in there. I will say, it’s in west Florida and they are public lakes with boat ramps and are boat accessible. I appreciate the comment!

I know, I couldn’t believe it. It’s more interesting with the whole clip but I really had to cut it down to make it fit as a YT short. That boater should have gave you back your bass as well lol

Recently, I’ve been flipping my own custom craw I designed and cut with my cnc machine. I was also flipping a zoom speed craw.
