Why do Christians sing? It’s a very good question. Many of us just take it for granted that when we gather for worship - we sing. The Christian faith is, uniquely, a singing faith. But why do Christians sing?
Christians sing in RESPONSE to God’s glory and our salvation. Christians sing to REJOICE in God’s saving power. Christians sing to REFLECT God’s glory.
We live in a world despairing of meaning; desperate for hope, for joy, for beauty. So let God’s children sing! Let the songs of the church resound through the corridors of a lost world. Let the world know there is our God, who is mighty to save great sinners and bring us into His holy abode.
