I have a Les Paul and a Strat that are both made of playwood (the bodies at least) and they sound exactly like the "real" wood ones. People just like to lambaste cheap guitars to justify their $2000+ waste of money.

That was pretty finicky! Well done, mate! If the LEDs do introduce noise, I would use a volume pot with a switch. That keeps it completely separate.

LEDS beind the glass is a great idea. I'm slightly worried that you'll introduce the LEDs to the signal path of the guitar and it'll buzz. But if it does the answer is simple, do exactly what you did but with a stereo jack socket - signal one side, LEDS the other.

Thank you for the video. It is really helpful One question however. I want to make a strop. I have found a piece of leather. Problem is that it is smooth on one side, rough on tother. Question is which side do I use?

formula for everybody measuring fret lengths by hand, when ur measuring a fret, its distance from the nut = the scale - (the scale / 2 ^ (which number fret it is / 12)). so for the second fret on a 22" scale guitar, its distance from the nut = 22 - (22 / 2^(2/12)). and for u microtonal freaks out there like me, which is why i figured out the formula, u can substitute 12 for ur preferred division of the octave. so 24 to double your frets and access the half sharp/flats. but 31edo is beautiful, albiet probably cramped. something smaller like 7edo could be sick just to see whatsup with it. idk u all probably have ur preferred tets i dont have to tell you whatsup if you read this far.

First go to a table, app, rule, etc. Yeah, I don't have any of that, I want to know how the old masters did it from scratch. How does one find the first fret? One can use the tangent method from there, but how to find that first cut with an unknown scale length? Do tell...

The f-holes are looking absolutely epic, as is the overall shape. Extra points for sawing through that board by hand. That takes skill, but on the other hand, you have an excuse for skipping the gym😅

That's a wickedly cool idea - to cover part of it with alu foil, and shield it with an old saw... I'm looking for a nice burn finish on a bass I'm building, and this could really add something! Cheers!! 😀👍🙏🙏
