I think it’s very interesting how artists like them were not truly seeking fame and recognition, they simply got it because they had a spark to them. Yet so many artists these days try so hard to impress the public and each other at every turn, and it ends up feeling not quite real.

OMG.... I've never seen this since it first aired in '86 when I was a kid. It was my first exposure to Sputnik. By that autumn, I had tracked down 'Flaunt It' on vinyl. Still one of my favorite 80s guilty pleasure albums. Thank you for posting this!!!

A great documentary. Marianne Faithfull is so inspiring with her music and also how she came out on the other side from her drug abuse. It takes a strong person to do so and also to stay clean for so many years. When I look for someone that I can rely on I turn to Marianne Faithfull and her songs lyrics. Her songs help me a lot. I have autism and life gets hard very often, but it helps to have a great family, friends and also some artists that you can relate to in some sort of way. :)

Man, thanks for this. I recorded the same concert - Thursday Night LIve was fantastic. I still listen to the Furs tape and the quality is still good. Great show. I just can't figure out how to convert it to digital. Just saw them last week near where I live now in Australia. Felt like closure after listing to the Elmo gig for so long!

Loved them from around 1979 when I switched onto music. Hugely influential on me and Their music was just a class above everything else barring the Stranglers perhaps. Confident and articulate, what's not to like? Thanks gor yhe many years of musical enjoyment I have had from Siouxsie - and The Banshees.
