Nothing gives you as good a sense of just how insanely hot lava is, as does a volcanic eruption in a snowy place. Just look at how far away from the actual flow the snow ends up melting. Another excellent way is to throw a wooden object in and watch it catch fire before actually hitting the lava.

At 1:19.........Mr Tasker says that driving where this car is seen.......is bad for the environment. Are you kidding me, Rob? Bad for the environment? It's a freaking volcano. Tell me what's gonna get destroyed? Are you Greta Thunberg's long lost brother from across the fjord? Tree huggers are gonna ruin the planet. Don't you have a pro-hamas event to go to? Only a liberal would claim that driving around volcano is bad for the environment.

As it looks in Iceland right now and 3 years back as well as what scientists have said, and with all the volcanic eruptions- they will probably have this 500-800 séance with regular eruptions because Iceland is expanding- becomes bigger on the fact that it is the peak of the Atlantic altitude smoke. actually believe that our planet is expanding, and thus what is happening right now is happening. Many volcanic eruptions have occurred in recent years, due to the pressure of the flowing mass inside the earth's core having to go out -- just as there must be a valve to divert the excess pressure -- as there is in electric pressure holders -- air compressers. maybe also the reason for a changing climate?? only my private.

Wel lclearly we need to write a memo to the earth explaining climate change and its need to stop producing volcanic gasses.

If you just reported where the toxic fume cloud was/is and have the data in front of you as well as knowing the wind direction forcast. Then why should The Blue Lagoon be closed tomorrow, please? 7:10 You are obviously not a scientist as your narrative contains so many vaguries such as 'quite, sort of, So Saturday which is tomorrow the polution level apprantlly spikes and goes 'quite high, sort of, offwards in direction'. If you had finished that sentence properly saying 'offwards in direction' but missing The Blue Lagoon. You may have never published the video as you would have corrected your vaguries. I can not be sure if they will be open or not. That will depend on the wind direction. But my weather charts (Ventusky) show trend and hourly forcasts of wind strengths and dirction and at no time or hour on Sataurday is the direction directly towards the Blue Lagoon. Clearly from your near space satelite giving a tiny view as well as the charts you have used. Precise direction can at best be said to be a generalism as that map is so small it is only vaguely near. The Blue Lagoon is 15 degrees North of the Erupting volcano. Not due north but more West north west by west. So the wind direction would need to be a few degrees North of due West to directly hit the Blue lagoon. But that being said. The South access road will likly be closed as that is how close the toxic plumn is. But the wind on Sunday does swing Westwards and West North West by West. So directly over the Blue Lagoon and so my guess is they will be 100% closed Sunday 28th April '24th. Forcasts are of course sometimes only a prediction of trends and things can change suddendly. So unforseen events could happen and for any one in the location they would best be advised to make regular obsevations and rely entirly on a prediction days in ahead. Good Luck all. Keep dodging the yellow clouds and keep your sulfur dioxide meter reader batteries charged.

If this is two volcanoes or one large volcano?

Does all the magma come from one magma chamber, so there might be two eruptions quite close by or is it another magma chamber for the anticipated second eruption, elsewhere in Iceland? Thanks for your effort :)

This may be interesting to see 2 volcanos erupting at the same time, if a new fissure dies open. I just hope everybody stays safe. Have a good day and stay safe rob tasker :)

If they play “sillies” then nobody would be able to rescue them anyway. They could disappear into the lava at anytime. Still they would be cremated at the same time and save on funeral costs.Their relatives would kick up s fuss though and try to blame somebody and want compensation.😮

If you interested n d to visit, do not plan an up close and personal visit. Lately, people have been seen walking way to close to the fresh lava. Three people had to be rescued because they went out in a pea soup fog and lost their way. A really foolish person decided to drive across lava, but it was fresher thane thought and his car became stuck. He also had to be rescued. Do not be like these people!

What a crazy people to so close and drive the car off road.

13:38, the volcanic rock formation out front appears to have had some major up shift leaving a fissure (earth separation) running from right to left, and it looks very recent too. Everyone focuses on the eruptions, and lava, but not the geological changes that happen before, during and sometimes after.

Is there a place you can drive to where you can safely see the volcano activity but not cause an obstruction? Heading over in late May and will be hiring a car for a couple of days, so wondered if that was possible? I missed the Fagradalsfjall volcano last time I was over, so if this is still going in May it’d be cool to see it, as long as I’m not putting myself or anyone else at risk
