Oh god if you haven’t seen Toradora, it’s great and it’s a lot more complex then it looks on the surface one of my favorite rom coms I’ve ever seen Also if you want something that uses a similar time era as Haikara-San but does it better I’d recommend watching taisho wa otome fairytale

A bit late but from your comments the Full moon manga is wildly different for example the the eichi situation(Spoilers for the manga) she always knew he was dead and basically using her signing as a from of suicide. From what I hear the anime is very different from the manga similar how the phantom thieve jeane adaption.

I agree on Haikara-san… I’ve literally been yearning to watch the series for over a decade. I read about it in either a Sailor Moon or Arina Tanemura manga side panel (author notes ). I liked the movie well enough but I really liked the one subbed episode. I think I’d love the series if it were translated. For Hana Yori dango….oof. I bought the Blu-ray out of nostalgia on;y to realize I only really like the Japanese Live action. .. because they tone down Tsukasa to make him less awful (and more stupid, love me a golden retriever) and make it less rapey. Gotta say, reaaaaally appreciate modern manga for having way less of that shit. It’s very hard to go back and read some shojo manga for that reason.

The sad part is viz media didn't even fully give Full moon an english dub. Only like thirty episodes got the dub. I started watching in English in 2014 but had toswitch to english subs. I actually prefer the 7 volume long manga. The stakes feel a bit higher ( only a bit). The manga is cute, short, and full of melodrama. And thankfully you can't hear the singing lol. ( I do like the first opening though)It's my favorite Arina Tanemura work. I'd recommend kamikaze kaitou Jeanne as well. ( the anime really needs a reboot though). I reread the manga last year and it was fun and completely different from where the anime went.

1:26:00 I remember in school when my friends were into fruit basket and they were reading the month of the reveal that akito was a girl was really big I never paid attention back then because I wasn't reading fruit basket I was reading other stuff like negims ,and d.grsy man so when I finally did sit down to watch the fruits basket anime it was the first one I came out I think in the 2000s and then I got around to watching the remake when season 2 heads finished airing I think or it was around the time that season 3 started airing I jumped in and I watched season 1 season 2 and I was watching the episodes when they were coming out for season 3 around episode 4 5 is when I started watching season 3 when it was still airing and I could just like tell like from the moment I saw her I'm like that's a girl but I wasn't sure because the characters were calling her a he so I'm like okay maybe that is a dude they just sound feminine or maybe it's just how their voice actor was portraying them cuz I watched it in the sub and the dub and then when it was revealed that it she was a girl I was like okay I saw a few people were shocked cuz like me they didn't read the Manga and like me they couldn't tell based on just the voice if they were male or female and then the other characters were going he all the time when akito was on screens so like me they like okay that's a dude so a few people were shocked but I think like a few minutes after like with myself where I just sat there and thought I would like are they a girl and I'm like yeah they're a girl and then they're reveal happening like okay I was right like I don't really think that shocked anybody besides the preteens and teenage girls reading the manga back then and that's it XD Plus if you're like my one friend who I also was kind of watching this with I think they went like look some stuff up about fruits basket and got spoiled beforehand about the reveal and about the Soma curse and how to break it cuz when it got to the end and they broke the curse I was like that was the dumbest thing ever and it turns out the curse was actually breaking anyway it was like why did he get written like that it was a bit annoying but I still like the anime as a whole like if you rate each season separately like with you I wasn't that fond of season 2 season 1 was really good I liked season 3 but if I had to write each season season 1 would get like maybe a 8:00 or 9 out of 10 for me season two I would give a six out of 10 and season 3 at Best I'd give that maybe a seven maybe a 7.2 out of 10 I like fruits basket I saw a rumor that they're going to possibly animate the series that follows up proofs basket that's about their kids and stuff I'm not sure if that still happening or not if it does I look forward to seeing it if it comes out if it doesn't come out within the next few years maybe I'll go read the Manga for it I saw the manga for the sequel at the library when I was there a couple years ago and I thought about getting them so I can read it but I was trying to get the sailor Moon mangas because I had never really had a chance to read the Manga and every other time I would go look on a website the scans for it just kind of sucked or it had bad translations

I love kaleido star it's amazing 😍 I know you didn't get past episode 10 but I think you should give it another try it actually gets a bit better towards season 2 when a new rival arrives for Sora and she does struggle on the stage more along with a new co-worker who doesn't like her and who's more of an ass to her than even Layla is I think you'll actually like it if you give it another try but that's just my opinion I don't know
