Another great video 👍 I love Peter David almost everywhere that I read him so i didn't need much convincing. Just bought the last copy that was available for me at a "reasonable" prize (it is really a lot of pages 😂) The concept of another Spiderman on the future intrigues me, think will be fun. As I understand Peter David had another run at Spiderman 2099 yeara later compile in the Omnibus 2, now available? Does this one interest you, any plan of reading it?

My copy is on the way, I’ve read very little Hulk, just the Inmortal Hulk (loved that one by the way, great book in my opinion), so I wanted to read some older Hulk greats and this seemed like a good place to start. I think Peter David is a very interesting writer, I enjoyed what he did with Supergirl (though not everybody liked it) so with that and with your review I’m sure I’ll enjoy this one. Pity the Omni vol.1 is out of print. Don’t think it will matter too much starting from here? Hope they reprint it again. Anyway, enjoyed the video! Thank you 😊 PS: 30:11 Ah! Totally agree about the Punisher. That starting premise of the character is something I cannot really agree nor really enjoy 😢

Started collecting Silver Age Omnibuses. Of the four I have, Dr. Strange, Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America, Cap is my favourite. All out action and plenty of macho jawing, it sure is fun!

Totally different vibe and style but I liked it too. I'm wondering if you had a chance to read that one? Could be a good one for another video review?!

You're right, I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere so I just discovered this because of your review, and got my hands on a paperback copy. Thanks for covering it. Personally I think 90's comics like Lara Croft, Switchblade... are a fun light read (I don't mind the over the top art also). Please cover some more of these king of 90's comics. The reviews you did on that ones was great!

I know Iron Man vol 1 isn´t that good, but when do you think it picks up?? Vol 2 and 3 are coming up and I might skip them and just keep my Vol 1 if they are more of the same.

Is the glue binding much of a problem?? so many pages are splash pages, do you have to fight the book in order to see the middle??

I was thinking about this when I received my copy and seeing the contents of volume 2 (Including all of max carnage, lethal protector etc). This era is where classic spidey was still consistently great and then once the clone saga hits, I don't think it's ever been the same. I actually enjoy a good portion of the clone saga, but that definitely signalled a point where spidey lost his way. Practically every run since has followed a pattern of a new writer making their mark with some great stories, followed by editoral interfering or ideas going nowhere resulting in it being mixed overall. Having said that, if we get 2-3 omnis to round out the post clone sage/pre JMS I'll be getting them. Likewise with the brand new day era yet to be collected. I'll be very interested to see your thoughts on the J M Dematteis spectacular omni if you get that next year. One of my top 3 spidey runs.

Is the spider man by chip good for kids?

One of my favorite sagas for Marvel! I had one point of disbelief in the prequel story. I did not believe Maestro Hulk would lose to Hercules in their one on one fight. I think that since Hulk was at the peak of his power and soaking up all those rads, he should have been able to easily defeat Hercules!

I am disappointed. Honestly I wish we got consistent artwork and had multiple editions with each artists vision for all of the books

Miller Daredevil, incomparable. I was reading some just this week. Spidey 2099, David is the man but that art looks awful. I don't DC but Aquaman looks alright. Simonson Thor is my number 1 all time. I would kill for that book. I do got all the issues tho. One day I'll read miracleman... I want that Byrne she hulk. Cool immortal hulk. Batman looks like newspaper comic strip. Sweet sin city

Some of those early stories are model examples in imagination and concision. A truly wonderful collection that finishes on the first and probably best appearance of the Destroyer. Nothing that followed, not even the epic Simonson run, bettered what can be found here.

That book is a piece of Art.

It was and is ground breaking and wont sit well with some because of the graphic content. I prefer the mature graphic content and how it did not fall into the superhero mainstream. Those who don't wont like it. This is not for the weak stomach or for mainstream batman and spiderman fans.

I have all but the Tomb of Dracula and Sensational She-Hulk omnibus. I also have the later printing of Dr. Strange with the white cover, but would have preferred Marvel re-released the variant you have.

Nice overview. I picked up the two Captain America volumes a couple years back and then in the last year I grabbed the Human Torch and the two Sub-Mariner golden age volumes. Was thinking about this one, bit it looks like 80% would be a double dip for me.

The story telling isn't as good. I agree with you about that. But there is something interesting about how they were throwing everything against the wall to see what stuck.

I arrived to the part when jess and gwen are talking and reading the last comic before it, nothing makes sense. I've been searching a lot of web sites video and nothing explain why it does happen. Can you help me? In wich comic did they meet to be together?

Some elements from this masterpiece were incorporated into the (current) mainstream DC Continuity, such as the Losers in Dinosaur Island (but with Captain Storm actually SURVIVING rather than being killed among his partners) or, most recently, the John Henry incarnation (now called John Henry, Jr., which is also Steel's great-uncle).

Nice that the FF Omnibus includes the letters but others like Powerpack does do include them.

It is nice to read parts of the stories in the Marvel Saga which shows how the other comics go together. Also, a magazine called Dynamite. which is published by Scholastic had part of their original story and had questions and answers and where i first heard of. i saw a cartoon show before I read Marvel Saga. I also have the index series.

I picked this book up a little while ago. I play FFXIV, and love the game. This book is exactly what I want from some video game worlds. A tome of comprehensive lore and backstory of the games world. I ordered the second volume too. I would love for Square Enix to publish a similar book about Valisthea (the world of FFXVI).

I've got this very book albeit in a very special one of a kind edition. That's all I'm saying as I don't want it nicked...

Thanks for the overview! I have the OHC and I've been going back and forth about upgrading to the omnibus. I think I'll stick with the OHC. Save my pennies for the other 20 omnis that I need to get 😮‍💨

World war hulk was great some of the tie ins were a lot of fun! Hopefully we get a continuation in omnibuses with this with the pak and Parker run
