    the leagues cup started out as a cash grab tournament that MLS created to count as an "international" tournament because Mexico dominates the actual international tournament Concachampions. It needs lots of work as both leagues have had teams complain about stopping the leagues for a tournament that feels forced. Liga MX for example are only 5 games into their season so they've stated a lot that they'll use it as pre season strengthening for when Liga mx starts back up but they're still not happy about being in the tournament.

    I think it’s both Miami are incredibly messi dependent and they don’t have any ideas when he’s not there and also Cincinnati really really good. They were the points leader in MLS last season and they have been very difficult to beat this season as well. Last year, Cincinnati were the regular season champions of MLS, The MLS cup final is the fourth round of the playoffs, excluding the wildcard game, and Cincinnati were eliminated in the third round by eventual league champions Columbus. Cincinnati also made it to our FA cup semifinal last year. Were they lost to Miami, but only an overtime. They’ve only gotten better with their moves in the off-season for this season.

In Alabama the state where I’m from our average high temperature in the summertime is around 32°C before you factoring 90% plus humidity… And we aren’t even the most southern state. we don’t get UK temperatures for whether of like 22° or 23°C until like October/November and March/April. It only gets slightly cooler than that in the winter around 10°C is really where it bottoms out during the day.

    Greg Berhalter is definitely not quitting. He’s only been in charge of this program for six years and our biggest wins under him, our only wins against top 25 opposition, or three wins over the worst Mexico team since the 1970s. I’ll give you a microcosm of his coaching career with this national team. Since November 1 of last year, USA is three wins, two draws, and five losses. in order, we have a win at home against Trinidad and Tobago, a loss away to Trinidad and Tobago, a loss at home to Slovenia, a regulation draw with Jamaica in the Nations league semi finals, which we did win in overtime, win over Mexico, lost to Columbia, a draw against possibly the worst Brazil team ever, a win over Bolivia, lost to Panama, and the lost to Uruguay. He is absolutely oblivious to the fact that he is doing a terrible job. In the post game press conference last night he even said that he thinks that the program is headed in the right direction and that people just need to trust the process. I doubt he will get fired. I hope I’m wrong but considering that Greg Berhalter‘s brother is on the hiring committee it’s highly unlikely that he will get fired. he was already fired once because of the Gerena World Cup scandal… And we had a couple of different fill-in coaches for six months. Our Federation hired a research firm to help them find a new coach… After six months they rehired Greg Berhalter… This is after they interviewed people like Jesse marsh, Patrick Vara, Pellegrino Matarazzo, Apparently they also tried to interview Jose Marino… And out of all of those people Gregg Berhalter was still the best option because his brother was on the hiring committee so he was rehired.

    • @thepartydeacon87
      @thepartydeacon87 Před 26 dny

      Berhalter should not of been hired. he was the easy and safe option. he is so poor. i think the issue is that the players love him because he picks his favourites and they know they will get game time. surely the backlash from the fans and now this early exit they have to sack him. having friends in high places shouldnt mean you get a free pass. usa are hosting the world cup in 2 years...... at this very moment they wont get through the group stages there either. 2 years is enough time to turn this around. they have to act now!

  • @gracielynn9623
    @gracielynn9623 Před 27 dny

    I have no idea why Timothy even bothered responding to what the Panama player did. He’s played his entire international career in this continent. In CONCACAF it is a very physical and very greedy continent. No matter who you play from this continent, except for USA and Canada, apparently, They are going to push you around and shove you and bump into you and do petty stuff to you nonstop until you lose your head and get sent off. That is the game plan. They will literally try to take out your knees on purpose. That’s not just a Panama thing that is a CONCACAF thing. There has been many games in this region that have ended. We’re both teams have had fewer than 10 players on the field. Although our national teams, USA and Canada, our among two of the highest quality and talent in a way it kind of hurts us because teams do it even more, and since our players are in Europe, Europe is a much softer continent, even at the club level. The pettiest little thing is going to get called in the English Premier league. You’re gonna have to earn a call on this side of the pond. The longer our players are in Europe the harder time they have dealing with that and that is part of the problem. I mean, unless you’re actually injured, somebody actually threw a punch, or you’re bleeding it’s probably not going to be a red card. That’s the standard over here.

    • @thepartydeacon87
      @thepartydeacon87 Před 26 dny

      i have no idea either, he must of known especially with var that if he swung a punch he would be sent off. i dont think europe is soft tbh, our biggest issue is play acting and conning the refs. happened with dumfries in the holland/romania game, he wnet down holding his face when he wasnt touched, it is a major issue. teams like panama and bolvia have to be physical because they dont have the skill to compete

  • @gracielynn9623
    @gracielynn9623 Před 27 dny

    The referee in the USA-Panama game is generally a disaster. He has done 191 international games at the club and country level. Basically he’s reft in CONCACAF World Cup, qualifying, nations league, champions league, and this was his Copa America debut. In 191 games of international repping he has 1400 yellow cards issued, 89 red cards issued, 72 penalties, and 106 players sent off for reds and/or second yellows. Somehow he has one referee of the year three times in El Salvador.

    Mexico has a lot of problems. The USA’s problems are pretty much because of our coach. Mexico problems are everything but their coach and they’re blaming it on their coach. The Mexican Academy are absolute rubbish and they’re losing dual nationals to every single country that even attempts to recruit a dual national. Their entire national team except for Santiago Jimenez is essentially playing in Mexico domestically. They still think that Liga MX, the top division of Mexican soccer, is like it was in the 1980s as one of the top five best leagues in the world. Newsflash… It’s not. It’s about the same level as MLS now. Not even trying to get their players from Europe in fact they’re trying to bring them back from Europe to play in Mexico because they think that’s better. Their federation, FMF, is just as corrupt as turkey/Nigeria/USA. It’s an absolute joke. You get hired if you know somebody. They doing everything that they can to destroy their domestic leagues. Both USA and Mexico Federation are only chasing the dollar and not even chasing wins anymore.

I love watching football manager videos. It’s like the one video game I enjoy watching other people play. That leaves me too my question… And hopefully with that context in mind, the question won’t sound so goofy. In football manager, can you actually make up and design entire national team and club team Continental/international competitions? like if you wanted to could you add a fourth European continental competition below the conference league, pick the teams that participate, and then run simulation of the tournament?

You can indeed do that, there is an editor for the game where you can change pretty much anything, player stats, stadiums, finances, leagues, league rules, kits and and evrryhting beyond that. can build entire databases for new leagues, rules and competitions. @@thepartydeacon87 even with all of their players that they currently have in Europe it’s obviously a golden generation but in the past, they’ve still been pretty damn good and competitive. The problem is is that CONCACAF has 41 member countries, 35 that are eligible to qualify for world cups. In the past 35 teams fought it out for four spots. USA and Mexico have always just been better for the last three decades than everybody else… So that really left 33 teams fighting for two spots. Some teams in our region, like the British Virgin Islands and Montserrat and Guyana and Belize and Anguilla… They suck. They fit the stereotype of this region outside of USA/Mexico perfectly. But the problem is you have Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala, Canada, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, Suriname, Curaçao,apparently now Nicaragua and Puerto Rico… Who are really Flippin good and competitive. Because of the way we are screwed over by FIFA Europe gets like over half of confederation and South America gets 60% of its confederation… We get six out of 35 teams. The goalkeeper for Bolivia was about the only Bolivian player that did have a good game. But it’s become normal for Bolivia. They only win at home nowadays. Their home stadium is actually the highest elevation professional soccer stadium in the world. They play all of their home games at over 13,000 feet of elevation, or 4100 m. For perspective, that’s almost halfway up Mount Everest. They win almost every game at home. They typically don’t even tie on the road. Most of their players played domestically in Bolivia so they are used to the elevation as pretty much everywhere in Bolivia is over 2500 m of elevation so that’s why they do that… But it doesn’t help them when they’re national team has to go play away from home. Since making it to the 1997 Copa America final in Bolivia, so on home soil, in all of the Copa America since then they played 30 games and they only have one win.

    Lol I have no idea who that announcer is but thankfully it was not the one that we had on TV or the radio. Pretty sure that’s got to be an AI voice overlay for the commentary. It could be the Canadian broadcaster for the game as Canada and United States each send their own broadcasters to cover the exact same game instead of one country just simulcasting the other countries feed.

    I know I recommended it in the last Copa America video you did, but I will recommend it again… Even if you don’t react to highlights of these games on the video outside of the USA games, I would still recommend searching for a highlight package on CZcams to watch before you talk about the game. It just gives you a little bit of a better idea of what happened. Gives you more to talk about. The highlight packages aren’t that long, most around eight minutes that I can find.

    Uruguay are in a little bit of a transition phase. After getting bumped out of the last World Cup so early, they hired a new manager and they have said that it is a generational change. Eight players who were on the World Cup roster were left out. They had eight players under the age of 25 on the roster to replace the veterans. They’re trying to clean house with the older generation and bring in the next generation.

    We we saw two completely different versions of Panama in that game. In the first half Panama was completely out played and look like they might lose by 10 if not more. They got so lucky that uruguay did not take any chances. In the second half, for the first half of the second half Panama outplayed Uruguay and was the first to every ball. They just couldn’t keep up with the experience and the athleticism of Uruguay and pushing for the equalizer they started conceding goals at the end.

    Jamaica really had a fascinating squad. They had in their starting 11 they had players from the Premier league and then they also had players from the American second division, the league below MLS. The normal goalkeeper, Andre Blake, plays for the Philadelphia union in MLS, but he injured himself and their last game before the COPA America as part of the World Cup qualifying games, that has already started over here, And so he had to have knee surgery. Their number two goalkeeper plays for American second division club El Paso locomotive. I thought he played incredibly well. Jamaica also actually took the lead in the first five minutes of the second half but it was ruled out very controversial. Most people I don’t think thought it was offside. But the referee found something. I feel like it was Qatar versus India Asian World Cup qualifying kind of spilling over into here. Qatar makes more money for the Asian Federation than India does so if it’s a 50-50 call and you can’t really tell, just kind of lean it towards Qatar… Mexico makes a lot more money for our Federation over here than Jamaica does so I feel like Mexico got the benefit of the doubt when it wasn’t really clear if it was offside or not.

    I have only been watching soccer for a couple of years… I have seen a fair number of games have ended in scoreless draws. Chile versus Peru was legitimately the most boring soccer game I’ve ever watched in my life. The most exciting thing to happen in that game is there was 43 fouls. Neither goalkeeper made a save and I don’t think either team even attempted a shot.
