Great challenge and super impressive gameplay from you. I will try it out and will of course do much worse :). ACW is a bit unpredictable but maybe from myself I'd expect to have one 5k per game that I get in 3 minutes and then I'll waste another 5 minutes on the other four round. That would maybe get me to seven or eight 5ks in an hour. My best strategy would probably be to minimise the wasted time aggressively and immediately skip when I know chances are low.

I'm so impressed by all the work you guys have put into this! As someone who's never done trivia before, this has been a really cool (and challenging) introduction. I also love that feeling of initially looking at a question and having no clue, but somehow getting the answer anyway. One question I had for you was how much time do you typically spend writing each quiz? With so many new quizzes each week and with how much thought clearly goes into each one, it seems pretty time-intensive. And the time to grade each quiz manually as well. Thanks for putting all this together!

I'm primarily a lurker on the discord, but I really enjoyed participating in the Quiz League. I thought you did an amazing job! I really liked the combination of difficult questions with just enough clues to give you a chance if you don't actually know the answer off the bat.

as someone who doesn't really do trivia a lot and who definitely isn't at the top of the leaderboard regularly, part of why i stick around every week is the Best Wrong Answers poll! the potential for internet points keeps me engaged with the questions even if i am intimidated by a subject or question :D but ofc it's not only that, the quizzes are very enjoyable and sometimes even rewarding! that dopamine rush when i get something right 👏 i'm already looking forward to the next season! thanks for the video, was a fun watch

What an unexpected, well-edited and refreshing video! I had a lot of fun playing every week, even if I didn't do too well (I am a newbie at quiz leagues). I don't know what makes a good vs. bad league - so my opinion is kind of inconsequential - but I think you both did an amazing job with all of the quizzes. Here's to Season 2 :) My favourites were definitely: the Language media quiz (would love to see more of that), Monochrome Syndrome and the Pride quiz. Clearly agree with your consensus haha.

As for tambur and etc., I think trivia that guides and clues the player in to what's going on is very cool and generally good trivia, but sprinklings of bait are also good. But yeah, cluing "musical instrument" as such is probably suboptimal.

Did anyone pay you for the trivia? If no, then you don't need to take the blame for anything. That having been said, my personal opinions on stuff I'd like changed: 1. STEM really shouldn't be all grouped into one category, particularly when there's 5 different categories not all chosen each time around. 2. The trivia felt quite overwhelmingly focused on American, European, and Australian material. I didn't actually tally anything up, these are unverified vibes. I think anywhere from 1.5 to 5 average score is still a good average. I personally think it's even cool for some quizzes to be unusually easy or unusually hard, causing difficulty itself to be a variable. It's more important that the variance in scores is not too small. Was interesting to see Beni somewhat surprised that Luny has been to Kazakhstan. I just assumed you two probably knew each other a long time before Lyons Den.

I think you guys made the best quiz I have ever seen in terms of balancing topics, difficulty and guessability.

I didnt get to play weeks 1 or 2 (I didn't know jake lyons had a discord server until swooce showed me last week) but I went back through and did the quizzes just for fun. I would've answered showboat just because the opera guy on my college quizbowl team would sing Old Man River EVERY TIME we passed a river on a way to a competition.

Like, I can go and learn Thai provinces myself, but it would lighter work if there was a video on it, using some mnemonics or whatever you used to learn them.
