I believe they can only take a maximum of 1/3 of their total health as fall damage, so the more health they have, the more they take (as long as the fall is high enough to deal 1/3 of their total health).

So, late game fists vs late game stun baton Stun baton. Every skill rank of Electrocutioner increases damage and stun duration, with double stun duration at level 5. There is also the skill that increases attack speed up to 25%. The tech junkie books give you a 25% chance to instantly charge your baton with normal/light attacks, and 50% chance with heavy/power attacks. The big fun is physician. Rank 4 gives you a 20% chance to dismember a body part when you strike it with a stun baton. This is why their heads keep popping off; you trigger the dismember their head. Rank 5 gives a seperate 10% chance to kill the zombie. Doesn't matter where you strike them; if you trigger it, the zombie just "slumps over" dead. There is an argument to be made that maxing out Electrocutioner is less optimal than maxing out Physician. Get a couple ranks for stamina reduction, put on the biker shoes for more stamina reduction, and use light/normal attacks (which are faster than heavy/power attacks) to trigger the chances for instant dismemberment/death. Fisting. So, Fisting is all about head shots. Rank 1 of Brawling, your head strikes disable the creatures "infection" ability. If you punch it, you can't get infected. Rank 3/4 give a 30%/40% chance to knockdown a creature when you power attack it's head. Rank 5 gives you a stacking increase to cause the creatures head to explode violently when you punch it. The more you hit a creature in the head, the higher the chance your next strike will cause it's head to explode into sloppy joes. Then you have the bar brawling books. One removes the blurred vision from beer, one increases fisting damage by 20% if you punch a zombie that is stunned or knocked down. One increases fisting speed by 20% for 10 sec when you get hit (this stacks with the skill that raises fisting speed by up to 25%). Then, you have the Raider armor. At level 6, it has 100% stun resistance, increased melee damage, increased critical hit armor, good armor values (it's heavy) and reduced affliction severity. Raider armor is made to be hit so you can trigger that 20% bonus attack speed, but not really take damage. Both are terrible early game, but stupidly powerful late game (with gear, skill and perk book investment).

And when you equip stun baton with max physician , your 2 turret have 10% chance kill like your baton too, make 2 robo turrets carry with you they will handle the zom for you, and make ammo for them , you can go any high tier infes with them. Max the turret perks to carry 2 turret.

You can combine stun baton with spear, spear can stab multiply enemies and when you get all the books when you stab 1 zom die you will restore all your stamina and the club too but i don't recommend that.

Just spitballing here, haven't done the math, but it almost seems like fall damage is capped at a certain percentage of the zombie's hp. Could explain why the damage is more consistent at low fall heights but then changes from higher falls. Also would explain why they survive the 100 block fall

Horizontal counts as well. Meaning if they fall 50 blocks down, and 1 block out? That’s 51. Same happens for players. If you jump off a roof, staying close to the building does less damage than if you jump outwards from the same height. It’s a diagonal distance essentially.

Daring adventurer is worthless now that the traders are nerfed :/ …it only gives you a little more dukes for the completion, and you now get to pick two of the poo poo item rewards

Forget the candy's name, but there is one to make prices cheaper only costs 300 dukes and you would have saves several thousand just doing that. /shrug it's just dukes. Perception and looting perk seems nice. Gotten some tier 5 items already, just not the stuff I want. Not maxed in it, I kind of stop after 5 points into a tree. Since that is a nice 1 point per level cost and can get a good foothold into a skill. Did you notice (or will) that you didn't get any farming points spent. One of the reasons I don't like those elixirs. I swear I forget tons of stuff that I didn't mean to undo, then I'm like well dang can you give me a discount on a 2nd elixir to undo my mess up.. /sadface

Im amazed at how tanky the zombies are, when you only run melee. God im happy im not doing this challenge xD Fuel saver + Turbocharger is such a nice mobility buff for the Motorcycle

Best combat in the series, except for maybe RE4 Remake. But I liked the restrictions in 5. No shooting while moving, tank controls, no diving or rolling. It's a very deliberate combat system, that adds weight to each decision. Most other action games will let you unload while you back up, in RE5 it's a decision to attack OR retreat because you can't do both. The clunkiness of RE5 makes the combat more tense. High tensity combat basically mimics fear, it's not "scary" but it's stressful. RE5 in a nutshell is a stressful game, the stress of getting out of fights with enough ammo and herbs for the next fight is as Resident Evil as it gets. That and this is about the era of gaming I'd say doesn't need any crazy remakes or remasters at this point. RE5 is still a good looking game today, sure it could look better but I think the graphics are totally fine.

My go to weapon combos are knife-bow/pistol or spear-rifle/pistol, since smg is such a nice gun. The machete for some reason feel like its decapitation chance is off the charts vs ferals and normals and somewhat mising vs rads.

For the record, Those knuckles are very good, I went into the wasteland and punched 3 Zombie Bears and 1 dire wolf and lived to tell about it. I have T6 knuckles with T5 gear though. But you gotta admit Punching zombie bears is a bit nuts. That stun baton with get better with physcian 5 , its a 10% one hit kill. But In my opinnion I still think that baton sucks.

IMO melee is good early game, when you get later stages or set harder difficulty the zombies are just such a slog that a gun just makes more sense. IMO they need to work on the scaling with melee so that is less of an issue and you can still use it till end game. Yea I am normally using clubs, but this time through I tried using a knife. It's nice especially seeing Oh that zombie isn't bugging me because of that cantaloupe rolling on the floor along with the bleed feature. I've had a few give up because of that.

Resident Evil 5 is NOT "one of the best." It's one of the weakest. Resident Evil is a survival horror franchise. RE5 is neither of those things. *get* the *fuck* out with these L takes. That being said, as a game on its own, its a fun experience. PLayed all the way through with my brother.
