Another option for a sun tunnel to make it more attractive, is make it a rectangle - and build a recessed large shadow box for it in the ceiling. I recessed mine 8" high, 14"W - 22"L. Place trim around it in the inside and out. Make the opening smaller by a few inches than the shadow box in the ceiling so you can lay a plastic jaded covering panel. It dispenses the circle of light across the entire rectangle. It looks AMAZING. My next step is to somehow put holes in the plastic panel and hang dozens of different layers of crystals hangers from it so that you can't see the plastic panel andjust see all the crystals glistening in the sunlight from above it! Granted it would be nice if there was fresh air in the room, but you just put the strongest fan you can in there and it truly freshens it up in 5 minutes.

I can’t find whether the rigid tube should appear seamless internally prior to the diffuser installation. My installer did it in such a way that the internal connections don’t appear seamless. Help!

I have a modular home built 60 years ago with no roof vent and the inside ceiling gets very warm in the summer (vacation home), I like the idea of a turbine vent, I can add a gable vent on the back of the house. the one issue I have is insects, wasps especially they will get into any small hole they can. I'm concerned that the opening of the turbine and the hole in the roof will allow them to make nest in the attic space. any suggestions on preventing this?

What's the best type of roof for houses in areas that were devastated by hurricanes, and why? Please advise.

What do you think of concrete roofs that are usable. In Asia, many homes have roof decks, they have 4 ft privacy walls, and the whole space is usable as a place to lounge, BBQ, and gather. It's really hard to find homes like this that are for a family of 4. I only find large or mansion type homes with this.

We do have that smell in our attic and think it's from mold. Can poor attic ventilation cause mold? There is ventilation but I don't think there is enough.

These videos are absolutely brilliant. Awesome little bite-size pieces of knowledge that are well-presented and edited. I've heard that shingles can blister because of heat caused by a poorly ventilated attic slowly cooking them from below and then the hot sun baking the surface of the shingle.

We just had our house reroofed and the company no only replaced all the vents with new and better ones, they also put in a few additional ones. The company is owned by a neighbor and he told me he would treat my house like he does his.

I have USAA, had hail damage this past weekend on an entire side of my house. They don't make that siding anymore color wise for the vinyl. They said they "May not" replace other than that damaged side. Umm, it won't match then what I have, what can I do? Please help. I'm in Missouri.
