2007
Woah. These videos are making a come-back and on the internet!
That was Horsham, PA not Warrington
Wow, this brings back some fond memories.
Anybody, "Hot Heads" Hot Rod Club?.......
These times in the 20th century as far as racing for me was the best. Before funny cars and corporate sponsorship really took over. I know funny cars were super popular and their did attain tremendous speeds, but there was something to be said about young neighborhood kids scraping together enough money to race their cars. Also No Expectations was the perfect song to play.
Thank you so much for this video. My best friend used to own wild fire
Joe..?
R I P, Nazareth along with Langhorne, Reading fairgrounds, Flemington, Syracuse mile etc.
Love that LO23 dart
I was a kid in 70s English town raceway Park was the best
awsome video , the good ol days
The current track at New Egypt is all dirt/clay . . . not asphalt covered in clay.
I miss E-Town I was going there since the 70’s.who the hell cares about electric cars. They’ll have to put baseball cards on the rims so you can hear them when they move lol.. politicians ruin everything we need to take back are country.
RIP 🙏
I GREW UP AT ENGLISHTOWN... THE TRACK WAS THE PLACE. ..WE SAW THEM ALL...60s ,70s 80s. ALL THE CHANGES AND EVOLUTION OF THE SPORT...SUMMERNATIONALS ........EVERY YEAR...AND FALL RACING...WED.NIGHT FOR LOCALS. GREAT COUNTRY BACK THEN...

Looked exactly the same when my dad took me there nearly 20 years later. He went to a nearby bar and got drunk

Class winner, the sprint car vintage 1930s.
Jeff crosnoff wreck was the worst. I’ve never forgotten what his family went through.
I remember Stan 😀 good driver
I think Carl Collis was running
Go Jack
Call me old fashioned, but I wish they’d never allowed those stupid wings.
As a driver I appreciate both options, different as they are, both a ton of fun. But as a fan there's nothing better than seeing the racers arms working the wheel...🏁
@@moonracer1 I live no more than about 6 miles from where the old fairgrounds used to be. Every Saturday night I could hear the sound of the races. It was like a reassurance that all was right with the world. 🙂
JBIII 💪😎
Wow! This clears up some questions I had about Pinebrook, my dad ran the concession stand there when it opened, I would be there all the time helping out and cleaning up the next day, I'm probably in some of the photos. I never knew why he got such a job, he was a shop foreman for Midland Products during the day. Now I see that Dick Marlow opened the track, he also owned Midland Products, a division of Marlow pumps.
Glad to help put the puzzle pieces together!
Man I was there , 11 years old taking pictures with my freaking polaroid camera...push the button and walla , shake for a minute and you have a picture. Inaugural race was December 82 after Lindy bought it. Wish they left her dirt though
Glad we could bring back great memories 🏁
I love this division… I’m a second generation open wheel, race, car, builder, and driver
Yes...One of the "scariest dirt race tracks" in the U.S.A. Few of the "great ones" lost their life at Laghorne. I think, Indianapolis "500" winner of the '58 Indy, Jimmy Bryan of Tucson, Arizona did in 1960. But... Langhorne made many a driver better in the auto racing field of various races. Kind of a shame it's not in use any more.
Almost amazing to me...This man favors a lot in looks a man I use to work with in my shoe retail career (which was for me more than 32 years) The company , which I retired from after 15 and-a-half years: SAS Shoes. The "man's" name was Lou Lazzaro...whose father, Lou Lazzaro, Sr. (aka "The Monk") a champion racer in modified stock-car racing on the East Coast U.S. Lou, Sr. " The Monk" died at age 65 on May 1, 2000. He raced for nearly 50 years on dirt and asphalt...was from Utkca, New York...his favorite track was Fonda five-eights mile dirt oval. His cars were powered by Chevys and maroon/white # 4 made 113 victories alone at Fonda. I was wondering if you may have heard about him in the various auto racing divisions? "The Monk" even raced against several upcoming auto racing stars in his near 50 years of racing. Mario Andretti was one of them.
Yes, of course we remember the Lazzaro Racing family. 💪🏁
Best sound of a racecar
I love that you did these!
We are overjoyed that we had the opportunity..!🏁
I raced URC with Joe back in the late 70's. Joe & his father were master car builders. Always had beautiful sprinters.
That's the only way to make that track look big
Thanks for the memories. I really started the Friday night ritual after the track was paved. Never missed a show for 5 straight years as a kid. My parents never had trouble getting me to do anything around the house. If I didn't do it I couldn't go on Friday night. All was done in plenty of time! thanks
This is a modified race. Why is the announcer talking about the IROC race?
The yellow # 2 now belongs to me. That's probably Paul Stoher driving. It's on display in the Saratoga auto museum .
Great guy!
Class act surely missed. My favorite driver. Hey! there's Jeff Gordon's first wife Brooke..Miss Winston in victory lane with Davey
This was very good. Thanx
Lenny and Donna are . . . without question . . . two of the best and nicest people I've had the pleasure of knowing and it's all thanks to racing! Cheers!
Bob was a good guy. I remember when he first started running at Wall Stadium. I visited with him in the pits and asked him how he pronounced his last name. The first thing he said was: "Well, there ain't no "z"s in it." The reference was to Bill Singer (the announcer at East Windsor, Flemington, Trenton) who always called him "Bobby Rozzuhl" . . . which Bob did not like a lot! Part of my job . . . as an announcer . . . is to get the drivers' names right. Which reminds me of another story with Denis Giroux. Anyhow, Bob's name is pronounced: RAH-sell. Great driver and all around nice guy and master car builder.
good stuff...thanks for posting.
This guy is my neighbor lol, I talk to him after school everyday, great guy, he has a lot of stories
