    Hey Chris, Wanted to ask about what helped you the most with the squat. Was it the upgraded HD springs, or the airbags? And did the springs compromise any ride quality without carrying the cell?

    • @benzfanatical
      @benzfanatical Před měsícem

      Hey thanks for the comment! I think that to add this kind of weight and not impact the ride, you need both springs and bags. I did the springs first and it just wasn't enough. With the camper off, the springs feel great on the truck. It needed stiffer springs imo.

    • @benzfanatical
      @benzfanatical Před 3 měsíci

      It's a little misconceiving when you look at it from the side, but the camper is actually slightly more narrow than the truck fenders. Aside from high branches scraping, I've never had an issue. New Mexico and Colorado, where I spend most of my time off the pavement, are pretty wide open too.

      Thanks for the comment! I didn't need it with the leaf spring setup on the Gen 2. I had HD Deavers on it and it carried the weight perfectly! My new 21 Raptor has coils in the rear, and to use the same camper, I did add HD springs and airbags.

I couldn't quite understand what you were saying about the Air Con and dust. My ambition is to travel all times of the year, hot and cold. Would you recommend the Raven? Any cons other than the dust issue, thank you.

    Great video it’s good to hear Raptors are good trucks I’m currently looking at 2017 with 175k miles. It’s spotless no scratches it it seems no one ever set on passenger side seat or rear Buttons are in perfect condition. You mention you are currently at 100k how are you still covered by ford on your cam phasers. I’m assuming they extended warranty? But how long and what year. I watched your video when you had 180k miles do you still have truck or at what point did you part away. Thanks

    • @benzfanatical
      @benzfanatical Před 5 měsíci

      Thanks for the comment! I got rid of the truck at 180k… the only major issue was the phasers, which was done under warranty and were not an issue again. The guy who bought it from me said he replaced a turbo at about 210k but he drives it differently than I did. All in all not bad for the things it did. I have a Gen 3 now and still love the EcoBoosts.

    Can you comment on the tail gate removal and if it messes up the 360 cameras. I installed a scout with eibach and air lift coil air bags.

    • @benzfanatical
      @benzfanatical Před rokem

      I got the camera relocation package from camera source, so the 360 is fine. I need to figure out the tailgate. It gives an error on startup and the proximity sensors are off. I posted on the forum and someone told me change the number of doors from 5 to 4 in FORScan but couldn’t tell me exactly how to do that. I recently updated to the Geisers and bought the bags too! I was wondering if anyone had done the combo with the new springs and bags yet. Have you taken it off the pavement?
