Custom XLR to 1/8" Jack "Balanced" Adaptor Test
A custom XLR to 1/8" stereo adaptor that routes the hot and cold signals from a shotgun mic into the L and R channels of most dslr cameras and camcorders. The right channel was inverted in post giving the same effect as an XLR preamp would on higher end cameras.
Filmed on a T2i with the mic mounted on top and pointed at Rachel. The effect would be more noticeable if I were booming it, but you get the idea

HV30 24p "Cine" mode Twoneil 35mm DOF test
zhlédnutí 1KPřed 14 lety
A very quick test of my Canon HV30 in 24p "Cine" mode using the Twoneil static 35mm adapter. I locked the exposure, but I messed up a little after the first two shots forcing me to use the aperture on the Nikon lens itself, so that's why it's grainy, but overall I'm quite happy with how it looks! Shutter speed was 1/48 and the aperture was around 5.6 to 8

I did it by ear just from watching the movie. Could have been better, but I just got my wisdom teeth pulled, and I'm feeling a little funny from the Vicodin... Anyway, I'm playing it on my Fender special Edition Koa Stratocaster through my Peavy Backstage plus
"Lucky" Scene 1
zhlédnutí 203Před 16 lety
Part of a short film Dan Ramsey, Emilee Haverkamp, Travis Reynolds, Kyle Simmons, and I are making (or were trying to anyway). This is the first scene, or it would be if the camera I was stuck using wasn't the worst piece of crap in existence. The video turned out fine (actually, I really like how it looks), but as you can see (or hear), the audio is absolutely terrible, so we need to re-shoot ...

OH GOD, why is this still on youtube?! We made this sophomore year in high school...eeww. A film Josh Grauch, Megan McCormick, Bobby Hart, and I were attempting to make. Thankfully, it was never finished. Wow, honestly, what a horrible attempt (Josh watching the TV in the background). Two other scenes were finished, but they turned out even worse. If you can guess where this scene comes from, y...

Was at this show! The Decemberists did a tour called The Long of It and The Short of It - each night where they played either their longer songs, or their shorter tunes. The entire tour was cancelled after the second night in Chicago. When they played Echoes, I was absolutely shocked.
ECHOES ACT 3 FREEZE
love this piece
Damn i have the back catalouge poster up in my room too
Yes!!! Thanks church, for showing me this. My sister finally listened to a decemberists performance without whining. 😂😂😂
If you're wearing underwear, it's a skirt
dang you guys should have keep going buuuuuuuut, Jeph might come after you for copy right infringement unless you got expcit permission from him to do so. Someone should remake this, with how better the cameras are now compared to 8 years ago. lol
My favorite band from today play favorite song from past... and its good cover indeed! :)
Please make more.
What an excellent video to stumble upon 4 years later!
Wasn't expecting to see Zachary Slabinski in this!
Are you fucking NUTZ nigga??
You are such whiner, it is a utility kilt not entirely rooted in scottland or in a certain country.
Iye your wearing freedom but your wearing wrong you American twit
You inverted the right channel and then you converted to mono sound file!
OH. MY. GOODNESS
utility kilts we wear you out...!
I just wany to say he was one of my favorite teachers of all time!
This is such a washington thing...every time I go snowboarding there is always a pack of skiers wearing kilts or every time I walk down town they are driving by in a lawn serves truck
Why is he whispering?
I always thought this was self indulgent bollocks from the Floyd but Colin and co have made it much more interesting.
Nice cover...I enjoy it very much!! Great job! Not easy to cover Pink Floyd's song that makes me fly....well done!!
pretty good man, i liked it!
how do you "invert" the right channel?
that is what "balanced" is. Two mono signals are sent down the balanced XLR microphone cable. The receiving device inverts one of the signals. This cancels out any noise (inverted sine waves).
AND GOLF!
Stage RIGHT! Stage RIGHT! Left & Right are always from the actor's point of view looking at the audience!
Thats a good Faye!
Oh hey, it's Zach. Nice video.
LOL you guys should do more of this!!!
*sobs* Please don't retire Mr. Wall. I'm THIS CLOSE to having you as a teacher! DX
I'M WEARING FREEDOM!!!!....hahaha!!
They do what they do for attention, plain & simple. Counter protesting is exactly the attention they are seeking. If people would totally ignore them...meet them with NO REACTION at all....they would get bored & find something else to do.
of course I'm late finding this, but you guys rock. or rocked. keep rockin' ! :)
Awesome.
I did one video with my personal version by 'Comfortably Numb' !!! lol When you have a little time and if you wish, please, watch and enjoy with this video !!! Best Regards from Brazil Roger
@Valrul awkwardly ashamed but proud they did it
You guys are adorable. :)
I wish they would have been there . This was a good looking crowd.
Awesome, Kyle! Can't wait for the album.
Another great piece andy.
Lol. QC excellent strip, horrible acting. Evens itself out really. A movie and/or TV series would be fun.
Hahahaha. So awkwaaard. <3
haha, the horrible high school acting is adorable. also, yay guster.
lol. thats sooo IRL.
Wow nice. I totally recognize this. I'm suddenly thinking I wanna make QC: The movie! Best. Idea. Ever.
Oh. My. God. YES.
Except this is only the first few comics. Which were written 6, count 'em, 6, years ago. Everyone has to start somewhere! I do agree that this is pretty improbable in real life...which is good, cause it's a comic!
Do all the comics, plz.
I'm sorry I'm not sure if I know how to read that correctly, but I was thinking it's pronounced "Oh-gul," not like how the guy in the vid was saying it. Is that right?
@idugupthegrave 'og ûhl' right?
It would be HILARIOUS if you did ALL the comics. You'd run for EONS!
