WE ARE GRIMFROST
A culture that doesn't adapt, develop and find a contemporary footing is dead, or in a best case scenario just an echo from the past. Our heritage is very much alive to us - it's not something that just exists in the past, or that requires dressing up in traditional clothes for reenactment gatherings. Our aim has always been to build a bridge between now and then, and bring relevant parts of the culture into today's world. There is wisdom to be learned from, achievements to be inspired by and an entire cultural treasure to embrace. That is the way to become a modern Viking, a Viking at heart!
Our goal is met through a combination of scholarly knowledge and expert crafting skills being added to a deep lifelong interest in Viking culture. You can find information, inpsiration and unique Viking products with us - both historical and modern interpretations. Visit us at www.grimfrost.com!

Extra Large Viking Raven Flag
Grab yours here: grimfrost.com/products/raven-flag-xl
This extra large flag is based on the Raven Banner that was flown by Viking Chieftains during the Viking Age. In addition to the raven imagery, it is covered by a beautiful Viking knotwork design. The Raven Banner is believed to have been connected to Odin and could have been used to strike fear into one's enemies, or used as a ritual symbol to declare that the fallen were given to Odin.

New Viking Cloaks

Durable Viking Age cloak made from felted wool tabby. Use it for looks, for protection from the elements, or to sleep in. A grave find in Horning, Denmark indicates the use of half-circle cloaks during the Viking Age. These cloaks can also be seen in pictures, such as on the Bayeux tapestry. As the name implies, it is shaped as a half-circle, draped over the shoulders and fastened with strings...

Cheers to Grimfost for sharing and hails to the Vikings and Johan Hegg from Amon Amarth
I love these interviews hopefully we can get one with Jackson Crawford
Greate song! I am quite impressed by the mention of the concept of the world tree as a harmonious combination of two principles, can I ask for the source pic, I couldn’t find it on my own?
Enjoyed Amon Amarth in Vancouver and was glad to have met Heg. I love the gear at Grimfrost.
See you there 🇧🇻🤘
Super härligt!!!!
Great podcast, i would like to see Varg Vikernes on this podcast 🙂
SUPER discussion - tack så mycket! 🥰
birka är lite överskattat men fint, lär finnas fler ställen att gräva fram i sverige av betydelse men staten lägger inte ner pengar på det tyvärr
I feel that statue with a large penis warrants an explanation
I'd have a beer with him
Nice take on the proto indoeuropean sky father. Hail the old gods. Could have included Perun and Indra though. (Also Ukko even if not indogermanic)
Gamla Uppsala museum is such a beautiful museum. Absolutely loved exploring that area.
Schools are debaucherous with their brainwashing and lies.
It sounds like there are many large mounds on Birka. (Not certain of the correct spelling, sorry.) If these are near the water, where did the soil come from for the mounds? Were they lowering the land around, maybe making sunlen lanes? Did they use dredging from shipping channels? Is it material that was composted over time? Did they have extensive hollow spaces with a thinner layer of soil over top?
Wow an Amazing Interview 😍
I love this podcast! Thank you so much for this!
Thank you for the great podcast! I learn so much 🍻 !
A Viking man can impress women by demonstrating how he takes his longship up a canal to deliver seeds which can be planted in fertile places.

What a clown show - are you still demanding UFC cuts the pay checks off Russian fighters (you know actual warriors not LARPERS like yourself) because of Putin? Did you stick to your guns and demand UFC cuts the pay of Israeli fighters as well? Of course you didn't. Hypocrite.
As a Greek I really appreciate you included Zeus like that, great song
Even though zeus is more oden than tyr
@@neuroleptika Oden?
@@korrali zeus is more similar to oden than he is tyr
@@neuroleptika thanks for clarifying you are in fact right

We have Rune inscriptions around the Great Lakes...I learned to read write and speak Runes when I was a young girl. My Great Grandma Irma, was from your area in Sweden 🇸🇪and was brought to my home here to marry my Great Grandpa Erik where they est. our Viking mining ⛏ Clan here in the Upper Peninsula in the late 19th century. We are proud Vikings!
I forgot to mention...we Vikings Danes lineaged from the ancient Scythians, who were the Galatians aka the Israelite tribe of Dan who were deported from the ancient Assyria and migrated from ancient Middle East and left a trail of Waymarks as we traveled over the Caucasus Mountains to populate Europa..our people left permanent way signs and way marks on cairns and stones everywhere we traveled! It was the destiny of our people! Jeremiah 31:21 Set up for yourself roadmarks, Place for yourself guideposts; Direct your mind to the highway, The way by which you went. Return, O virgin of Israel, Return to these your cities.
Runes are Phonetic because they are from the Phoenician language...which evolved from koine Greek..which evolved into the Germanic launguages of Indo Europe.
You are 100% wrong. The lineage of Scandinavians is confirmed both linguistically and through modern DNA technique to share that of the rest of the germanic peoples and further back, the rest of the indo-europeans. Stop spreading misinformation and nonsense.
Wow!! Epic and powerful. You absolutely nailed it adding the translation there. Many thanks! Keep doing this awesome job, friends!!

Love and respect for you and the ancestors. Thank you for keeping the culture alive! I am proud of my roots and wish i could be there. Hopefully we get some footage of the event. SKAL brother!

Tyr was Zeus Pater, Dyaus Pitar, Iovus Pitar, Jove, jewish Jahve-Demiurge, the same as the judeo Christian Jahve who erased our forefathers. This became churchs Deus Pater. The judeo patriarchal God archetype. He was also Mithotyn ”the false mind” who erased the spiritual mind Odinn. Except that a god song
