Another method would be to stack a Rocky Wrench and a winged Kamek. Put them in an unreachable spot, then place a POW Block somewhere so you need to throw it and kill the RW (Hit 1), this will prompt Kamek to move from its position and you have to hit it once to remove the wings (Hit 2) and again to defeat it (Hit 3)

I definitely agree that kamek could have done more and we should have gotten more variety in bosses instead of just bowser jr. Koopalings could have worked, kamek could have worked, even add some original bosses could have worked. I feel like the bosses are the game’s biggest flaw because other than that it’s wonderful. (Get it?)

Personally, I love boss fights that use the chaos of meowser as an advantage. I made what I like to call the best meowser boss ever made. And how I made it was by following my strat. Which I call the P.P.B. which stands for Pows Platforming Bullet hell Here's an explanation for all of them Pow: everyone knows red pie block are the main thing to deal damage to Bowser. Four hits, and a flexible item. Platforming: use platforming as a basic part of the fight. Using Bowser's chase scene use well Bullet hell: you can use meowser stalling as an advantage by putting extra enemy's, making it harder in an again, flexible way

Another thing you can do is encase Meowser in a small area filled with twisters at the bottom. This keep him up in the air and he won't be able to go anywhere. I used that to make a level where you have to hit on-off blocks to clear a path for spikeballs to hit Meowser while dodging his fireballs he'll shoot.
