The Word of God and the beliefs practiced AND taught by Christ are quite different than what the roman catholic church teaches and practices to this very day. When one studies, prays and asks for the Lord’s guidance in understanding, this becomes rather clear. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow for he never changes.

here is where you do not follow the word of God. Jesus institured the communion service of bread and wine,, St Paul said that Jesus wanted the church to do this - when ever you get together do this communion service in remembrance of me.. do you follow this practice, and if not , you are not following the commandments of God. 1 Corinthians 11 vs 20 to 29

Did Christ not institute this on the Passover, a celebration lots of Christians sneeringly refer to as a day for Jews? Exodus 12: 1-14 For it is the Lords Passover , and is to be done once a year, on the Passover, not daily, nor every Sunday…….

Knowing that protestantism didn't occur until the 16th century, I have a quick question. So where, exactly, did you get the Bible from? Clearly, it wasn't from Protestants, since the Bible existed for centuries before that. And by what authority did the assemblers of the Bible (the people who decided what was in or out) decide what constituted divinely inspired scripture? Any guesses? Ok, here's the spoiler: The Catholic Church assembled the Bible and did so out of the authority vested in Peter, the chief of the apostles, and his successors. To deny this is to deny basic history. So you're trying to use a collection of Catholic books to disprove the authority of the Catholic Church (who created the book to begin with). Talk about a dog chasing its tail.

The reply "Jesus is more necessary than any church" is of course ultimately true, but it is a Protestant/Puritanical reply. It is as though the reply says Jesus and His Church are in competition. They are not. Puritanism wants to purify, to simplify, to cut out. Luther was the first Puritan when he declared "This Bible is all we need! No Church authority is necessary to interpret it!" For 500 years Protestants have repeated this ever since. It also reminds of another Puritan denunciation "Church buildings are not the church. People are the church." But to the Catholic, cathedrals, etc. are an expression of faith. Puritans want church buildings that are as Spartan as possible, perhaps even hold church services outdoors. And as far as "The people are the Church," this has truth but is not the whole truth. It smacks of our Americanism "the people are the government." The whole truth is Jesus and the Church in Heaven and the Church Militant (here still on earth) and even the governmental church institution with clergy, etc. are the Church. Puritan thinking wants to reduce Church to the simplistic "the people."

@richardkasper5822 *RCs are a bunch of pathetic people. They do not look at their own man made doctrines. They resort to Ad Hominems.* you said Id like to see a Protestant talk of Luthers book he authored called "On Jews and Their Lies " in it he encouraged the burning down of homes, schools and synagogues and the nazi party even used quotes from this evil book to further their propaganda and to convince the german people that antisemitism had a long Christian history. It was written late in luthers career and as such it shows his true colors. You can listen to it on youtube audio books. Its shocking and pathetic.

  • @faithalone2171

@bluewaters1991 *RCs love Ls. Of course men are not the arbiter of truth. Why do RCs keep L? Two or more Scriptures saying the same teachings proves a doctrine. No need interpretation. God's Word can speak for itself.* *Bible says even NT Church of the Bible appealed to "what God says and said" for doctrines. Not once they took from any other source. Acts 15. THis clearly shows Roman religion was not the Church; since 95% of RC doctrines did not come from Scriptures.* *Bible does say doctrines should come from teachings/practices of Jesus and Apostles, 2 Thes **2:15**. But as far as we can see of RC doctrines, 95% were not from Jesus and aPostles. In fact, 95% of RC doctrines were from it's own traditions, which Scriptures condemned. Mat 15, Mat 23, Col 2:8, Mark 7:8. RCs love to pretend their man made traditions were from Jesus and apostles. THey are misled. They are not.* *RCs are very gullible people who do not read the Bible. RCs do not know the biblical definition of Church. Taking all the verses on Church and CHurches, Bible says Church refers to "all local churches + all believers". Not Roman religion. Believers of Christ (the Church) are already are already traced to Jesus. RCs love to pretend Churches need to trace to an ancient Church or Apostles. Bible does not say so. And RCs love to ask silly questions "who founded your Church". Lol. Why? All believers of Christ (the Church) are already traced to Christ and founded by CHrist. RCs love silly questions!!* *And Christian Churches share the same 90% Core Doctrines. RCs love to L about this and claim CHristians are not united. In fact it's the opposite.* you said The Protestant principle is that you are the arbiter of truth. You see, the Bible could not interpret itself. So, the Lord Jesus left his WORD written or oral to to be taken cared of and to be interpreted authoritatively by the Magisterium of the Catholic Church which He himself founded (Matt 16,16-19). It is because the church is the Pilar and the bulwark of Truth (cf. 1Tim 3,15). Tradition on the other hand faithfully transmits in its entirety the WORD of God whether oral or written ( cf. 2Thes 2,15; 1Cor 11,2; 2 Thess 3,6). The Lord Jesus did not leave his WORD to the 33,000 plus Protestant denominations which multiply according to their interpretations, and could not even agree whether to baptize infants or not. By the way, what happened to One Lord, One faith, One baptism? (Eph 4,5-6)? And you haven’t answered the question yet: who founded your church?

Then why are 95% of RC doctrines and RC clergies not in the Bible? Mind boggling ... Lol* *nt Church of the Bible did not have Roman pontiff neither Roman priests, neither did Apostles pray to dead saints or Mary, neither did Apostles and Jesus make statues for Mary and saint .. Neither bow down to statues .. Neither Roman unholy water, neither sinless Mary, neither veneration of skulls bones tongues ... So where are all these man made doctrines of Rome in the Bible? Neither all the below man made doctrines! Wonder where they come from?* *There was never a Catholic Church in the Bible.* *There was never a R Catholic Church in the Bible.* *There was never a Catholic in the Bible.* *There was never a Roman Catholic in the Bible.* *There was never a R Church pope in the Bible.* *There was never a R Church priest in the Bible.* *There was never a R Church cardinal in the Bible.* *There was never a R Church sinless Mary in the Bible.* *There was never a R Church unholy water in the Bible.* *There was never a R Church penance in the Bible.* *There was never a R Church purgatory in the Bible.* *There was never a R Church canonised saint in the Bible.* *There was never an Nt believer who made or bow down to statues in the Bible.* *There was never an Nt believer who prays or received prayers from passed saints or Mary in the Bible.* *There was never an ecumenical council with bishops of all churches that decided the canon in history* *If you can find one example in the New Testament I will give you a lollipop.* *nt church of the Apostles did not have such practices. Answer me: did apostles make and bow down to statues? Did Apostles ask passed on saints to pray for them? Or sprinkle "holy" water on believers? Or wore fishhead hat and costumes? Or cite hocus pocus when they serve the communion? They merely broke bread and passed around the table. Did they demand believers to kneel in front of them to serve them communion? Or did Peter ask believers to kiss his hands and feet? Or did Apostles venerate statues, bones or relics?* *You do see clearly it all came from practices of believers after the Apostles - which Rcs claimed its from early writings. They had already deviated from the Apostles and Jesus. What Rcc called doctrines were merely partly traditions of errant believers + partly its own self traditions. Totally not from Jesus and Apostles at all.* you said It doesn’t say that anywhere in any Bible, Catholic system is false

The Catholic Church is one of the biggest anti-Christ church’s around, the Catholic Church does NOT believe that the shed blood of CHRIST, HIS death, and resurrection AlONE has enough power to save them and get them to heaven, so they add their man made false religious traditions to the cross, their works, that is a big no no. They are so easily deceived, they would rather follow what a church says than what GODS WORD says, I have a Catholic Bible and it says the samething as my Bible and what’s weird is both bibles condemn the Catholic Church. The pope is sending their people to hell and the people don’t even know it

Id like to see a Protestant talk of Luthers book he authored called "On Jews and Their Lies " in it he encouraged the burning down of homes, schools and synagogues and the nazi party even used quotes from this evil book to further their propaganda and to convince the german people that antisemitism had a long Christian history. It was written late in luthers career and as such it shows his true colors. You can listen to it on youtube audio books. Its shocking and pathetic.

The Protestant principle is that you are the arbiter of truth.

In fact it's the opposite. you said The Protestant principle is that you are the arbiter of truth. You see, the Bible could not interpret itself. So, the Lord Jesus left his WORD written or oral to to be taken cared of and to be interpreted authoritatively by the Magisterium of the Catholic Church which He himself founded (Matt 16,16-19). Soul Purified Now in Christ's Blood ! Realize you are a sinner being sorry. Sin is lying, evil thoughts, lust, etc. Therefore, do not trust in your own works to go to heaven because you realize, being a sinner, you cannot offer the perfect blood sacrifice that God requires to pay for sin. Instead, believe, meaning fully trust, that in Christ's love for you, on the cross, His one perfect blood sacrifice, when Christ bled, suffered and died, in your place, paid for your sins in full, past, present and future ! Believe that Jesus rose from the dead ! Believe Jesus is God Almighty, God the Son, alive for evermore ! And believe that the sinless blood of Jesus Christ is what cleanses you from all sin, which purifies your soul ! Then the Lord Jesus will forgive you, save you from hell and give you eternal life ! And you will be sealed with the Holy Spirit who will dwell within you forever! And thank Jesus ! I am sorry to write this comment, because I do not wish to attack someone who says he is a follower of the same Savior that I also follow. But if anyone serious about understanding the truth about Menno Simons, correct information about him is vital. Sadly, this video contains errors throughout, is quite vague on major points of his life, and cannot be said to be reliable or correct in many aspects. Menno was born in Witmarsum, Friesland (now a part of The Netherlands), not in Germany. He became a stabilizing force among the Dutch Anabaptists, and also those of northwestern Germany, after his conversion. He wrote prolifically, especially when one considers that he lived the last half of his life "on the run, with a price on his head." He established a Biblically-centered foundation for those believers who lived in constant fear of persecution and even their own death. His many writings have been well-preserved and are available down to this present time. How Menno discovered the errors in his Catholic training and doctrine are much better outlined in a CZcams video entitled "Who was Menno Simons? Founder of the Mennonites" posted by Daine. If you watch this video, you will get a more complete and accurate picture of who Menno was, and how significant his influence actually was (and is). BTW, the Baptists of England came into being after they had contact with (and visited) Dutch Anabaptists who had been living out Menno's Biblical teachings. Why should you believe me, and what do I know? I grew up in a branch of the Mennonite Church (just like the Baptist tree, the Mennonite tree has many branches.....), and am the latest of the continuous line of Mennonite preachers in my family, in every generation going back to the 17th Century........ I went to two Mennonite Colleges, and have degrees from both. I've studied Mennonite History extensively, and am always interested in learning more. Thank you for reading my comment!

TO - Robertlulek The United States is World Headquarters of Protestantism. As far as church, you cannot get around the reality of the necessity of church. Protestants have varying degrees, depending on the denomination, of Puritanism. Puritanism constantly purifies or simplifies, cutting out what seem to be unnecessaries of Christianity. As you are arguing for simplicity. The Bible and Christianity itself are not as simple as the U.S. American Puritan loves to have it. Salvation is not do one grand gesture (Baptism or Accept Jesus, etc.) and BOOM! You're saved! "He who endures to the end will be saved." The Bible is not as simple as "If I (the individual) read my Bible sincerely, I, with the help of the Holy Spirit, will understand the Bible. That charism of the Holy Spirit was promised only to Christ's Church, the Catholic Church. Notice how Americans love rheir Chistianity simple. Because we are Puritans. A nation of heretics. Notice how Americans love individualism. "Give me that Bible and I, with the Holy Spirit, will interpret the Bible."

It may not be on the mountain’s height Or over the stormy sea, It may not be at the battle’s front My Lord will have need of me; But if by a still, small voice He calls To paths I do not know, I’ll answer, dear Lord, with my hand in Thine, I’ll go where You want me to go. Refrain: I’ll go where You want me to go, dear Lord, O'er mountain or plain or sea; I’ll say what you want me to say, dear Lord, I’ll be what You want me to be. Perhaps today there are loving words Which Jesus would have me speak, There may be now, in the paths of sin, Some wand’rer whom I should seek; O Savior, if Thou wilt be my Guide, Tho dark and rugged the way, My voice shall echo the message sweet, I’ll say what You want me to say. (Refrain) There’s surely somewhere a lowly place In earth’s harvest fields so wide, Where I may labor thru life’s short day For Jesus the Crucified; So, trusting my all unto Thy care-- I know Thou lovest me I’ll do Thy will with a heart sincere, I’ll be what You want me to be. (Refrain)

While one night upon the sea, A ship was tossing to and fro. Breakers dashed on every hand, Angry winds around did blow. All on board were filled with fright, As the mighty billows rolled. Then they called upon the One Who the winds and waves controlled. When He reaches out His Hand, Billows cease at His command. Winds and waves obey His will When He says to them, "Be still!" What man is this they all did say Whom the winds and seas obey? He’s the One who sails with me; He’s the Master of the sea. Though the storms of life may rage And the billows round you roll. He can calm life’s troubled sea As He did in days of old. As upon life’s sea you sail, Trust in Him who never fails. I’m so glad He sails with me; He’s the Master of the sea. When He reaches out His Hand, Billows cease at His command. Winds and waves obey His will When He says to them, "Be still!" What man is this they all did say That the winds and seas obey?
