I am surprised that the iPad Mini still exists whenever Apple could easily just have various size options for the regular iPad. Then again, they very well could've deleted the base "iPad" from existence to let the Air steal its niche, just like with the MacBook.

looking at the lineup you made with only 3 ipads made me realise how wrong it is. The iPad Air is in my opinion a bigger iPad Mini and that is who they're targetting. I can see a casual customer buy an iPad Air but not an iPad Pro. Amazing video as always though, hope to see more :P

This is a problem with the Vision Pro as well. It’s NOT a “spatial computer”, it’s a “spatial iPad”. It runs what’s essentially an AR version of iPadOS instead of a REAL computer OS like macOS. I wish the EU would force Apple to open up their operating systems even more, to the point where users can give admin perms or reserved entitlements to any application they want, at any time. Let them actually own every bit of their devices.

Barrel role is such a gimmicky feature. I tried it in the store, no way I would draw with that on. I'll stick my my 2nd gen pencil and first iPad Pro as I use mine solely to draw. Apple did iPad bad by still keeping it to iPadOS.

they just need to take the first leap and turn the macbook into a foldable touchscreen with apple pencil support. maybe, theoretically, you'll lose potential revenue, but the ipad simply has no use for a lot of people currently. i have a phone. i have a macbook. name one thing i can't do on either of those that an ipad has.

ipadOS is a piss poor attempt at "porting" macOS to tablets. it's a half frakenstein hybrid that does neither good. what they SHOULD HAVE done is mac macOS touch friendly so it can be used on ipads. JUST like microsoft redesigned windows to be touch friendly. it can be used on any device regardless of what it is now. they went through the shakiness of 8 and 8.1 and came out really clean on the other side with 10 and now 11. macOS is greatly setup for a touch interface but for some reason apple REFUSES to do such a thing. THAT is and will be the downfall

All current tables on the market are very capable but the iPad lacks pro and simple features like being able to format an USB (something simple) and being able to use a terminal inside the os (something more complex) in other words just ignore the ipad and choose another premium tablet and your world-view about what a tablet can do will expand immensely 😎👍

Getting rid of the ipad air? I honestly would disagree on that. It’s always nice to have a midrange device between an budget entry level device and a premium high end device, right? Once my 3rd gen ipad Pro from 2018 is out of support or the ipad air gets 120hz or the M4 chip, I would like to buy it.
