This is a wonderful idea! It would also be a good idea to have programs about seed saving so that people know what kinds of seeds can be saved and expected to produce the same results in the following season (hint, not all seeds will). In addition they could learn about the proper methods of collection, preservation and storage. I think this is a tremendous way to teach about the need for plant diversity and the importance that the people who have saved seeds over generations have had on the ability of humans to survive and thrive. Congratulations for developing such a fun and exciting addition to our libraries!

I WANT to try canning but as a child I remember how my granny would make us leave the room. I still remember her seeming sense of worry. Maybe someday I can get over this fear.

Is there different types of popcorn ? I wonder, the popcorn this year seems to be very dry and tough after you pop it. My brother said the same thing,he orders his popcorn from a different place, rather than here in Canada. Is there different grades of popcorn ? and which areas grow the best popcorn ? You seem to be very knowledgeable on corns, so maybe you know the answer ? Maybe it could also be the soil it was grown in, the region, or weather ? Any idea Really enjoyed your video, and it looks like you really love growing it.

Why wouldn't you just boil the squash slightly then brown it alittle with the oniòn & garlic ?

If you take it out at 152 it will be 165 before the temperature stops rising
