1:03:49 the clarinetist's reaction to the brass :)
it says Berlin Philharmonic at the beginning. Who is the orchestra, actually?
Sublime
"Wagner's music is much better than it sounds."
This comment is sublime…
…I’m guessing you’re quoting yourself?!
@@geostorm7426 If you take the time to look it up...
A prece e o sopro vital!
fuck all those adverts that ruin the appreciation.
Wagner is the GOAT, not even the son of a shiksa is able to destroy this.
@25:42 that can be from a Mahler Symphony
El Anillo de Wagner es el canto de las sirenas para los Ulisses que navegan en el mar del hermoso arte de la musica. Como el canto de las sirenas, sus notas encantan.
Now That’s What I Call Music (tm)
Masterpiece ❤❤❤❤❤

My Great-Grandfather, Gustave Kobbe, would have been very proud of this fine group of musicians!

OLYMPIAN.
Any way the mid rolling ads could be turned off for adds at the start and finish. This performance is so great that the mid rolling adds really hurt the greatness of the recording 🙏🏻
What an astonishing tumultuous genius Wagner is! Ceaselessly inventive orchestral writing, always pushing harmonic and melodic and rhythmical barriers. Great novelty in the use of instruments. Super-sharp depth psychology, often more Freudian and Jungian that those pair are themselves. Shockingly candid scenarios regarding death, the erotic, the hunger for power, transcendental love, the ultimate purpose of humanity's existence. Out to mock and upset petit bourgeoise comfortable smugness. Indeed, Wagner's ceaseless and ruthless condemnation of the shallow "Biedermeier culture" of German bourgeois capitalism is very satisfying. This deliciously cruel caricaturing and parodying is expressed full-volume in Boulez and Chéreau's brilliant and caustic "centenary staging" (1976-80), where the very social and economic circumstances within which Wagner was composing are set-up and mocked to scorn. Ludicrous "Ancien Regime" fashions, grasping materialism, revolting emotional dishonesty, duplicity and betrayal, tawdry and shallow love affairs, utterly alienated capitalist factory productive arrangements - all are thrown into the ideological mincer and shredded: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jahrhundertring And in the relationship between Wotan and his favourite daughter, we have a statement of "in-your-face" Electra love that is both very outré and heart breaking - far more so than her misguided love for that sappy paper-thin and merely goonish "symbol of the drama" Siegfried - and which demonstrates how much heterosexuality is inherently amalgamated and tainted with daughter-father romanticism and eroticism. At the end of Gotterdammerung, Wagner evinces a dazzling grasp upon the idea of the world consciousness into which we will all dissolve when our temporary ego-perspectives are destroyed in the Flames of Transfiguration - the essence of Hinduism and Buddhism at the same time. Pure brilliance. Wagner has one of the most supreme and near faultless faculties for ever-expanding dramatization and analysis and unfolding and unpacking of the core emotional dynamic of our lives. Like listening to Einstein describe relativistic mechanics - no exposition could be better! Like an audience simultaneously with Athena and Aphrodite on the wisdom and meaning of justice and love! And (as if it needed repeating) what a stupendous, crack orchestra the Berlin Philharmonic is too! Love andrea

What is the name of this orchestra conducted by Lorin Maazel? Is it the New York Philharmonic? It says Berlin Phil in the video
And is this song arranged by de vlieger?
It is Berlin Philharmonic
Ad breaks--unbearable. I gave up.
There is no other way of describing this music, and performance - other than SUBLIME! Thank you.

Bravo! Such a beautiful performance.
❤❤❤
Would anyone know what causes that hissing sound @22:38?
That's a roll on a snare drum.
Wunderbar!
un pur plaisir musical.

Richard Wagner is my favourite composer and Lorin Maazel's arrangement and performance of this adaptation of this masterpiece is beyond words. The Berliner Philharmoniker has proven yet again what a world leading orchestra it is. Bravo.
I can NOT believe this - I've found my most favourite recording by the late great Lorin Maazel of Wagner's The Ring Without Words. I listen to it almost every day and always when driving! What I did not know is that this piece was arranged by Maazel himself. So thank you TALOSQUATTRORETURN for this. When I listen to it on the computer - no ads! I guess I'm in for a disappointment if I turn it on when driving. How is it possible for youtube to desecrate something so beautiful and uplifiting - shame on them.
Ask TALOSQUATTRORETURN to turn off mid roll ads
Richard Wagner said, in the german music the soul lives. Now think about what you have destroyed. You wont find it elsewhere.
