"Cold Start" (was 78 degrees today) of my LQ4/4L60e swapped trans am. Elgin pro stock 1840P cam, full roller valvetrain, PAC springs and .080 chome-moly pushrods. 3.73 rear gears, FTI 2800 rpm torque converter. It;s not the fastest car but it's FUN!!!

TSP Chopucabra Cam, LQ9 and ACES EFI Jackpot standalone LS controller. Had the engine up and running on the engine stand all stock and ran great, which gave me the confidence to do a few upgrades. TSP Chopucabra camshaft, TSP hardened .080 wall chrome moly pushrods, beehive springe, new seals, Cloyes LS2 timing set and a Melling M295 oil pump. Running my LQ9 on an engine stand using the new ACES EFI Jackpot. So far it's a great little system. I love the fact that it comes with a 3 bar MAP, it's own IAT sensor, the CAN USB cable for the laptop software, it uses dual O2 sensors, and is 24/58x compatible. It comes with both harnesses and is a one click software change to swap between the two.

what is your timing like with this cam? have the same cam and same jackpot setup, mine idles okay but dies as soon as i touch the throttle
My timing isn't a good benchmark because I'm on an engine stand, so it's lower than normal. On my holley set up I have idle timing set at 26
Is ace and fitech the same company..heard bad reviews on fitech..was wanting to go with ace. But some ups and down on the reviews also.i have a 5.3 its going to be stock no cam or performance just stock wondering if this kit will work. For me with no problems on programming or tunning

Man that’s nice idling nice too. I just installed mine on my el co aces jackpot started right up but it stalls out. Any advice 😢igntion ,spark, fuel psi checked out good
I’m looking into this system for my swap. The first half the vid I was thinking that cam is 🥱 but when I seen the Wolf of Walstreet reference I was like🤘.😂 How do you like the Aces? I’m building a 370 6.0 for boost and built trans that I’m planning on running the Holley Terminator X with but I’m thinking sooner than when all that’s done I’m going to throw in one of my completely stock 6.0’s in just to get it going sooner than spending 15k on the other engine,trans,turbo setup. I know I’ve read the Ace’s is able to be tuned for boost but I wonder how capable it is compared to the Holley.
So far so good, I really like it. I like the fact that it uses dual 02 sensors and the kit is very complete.

Yes, it even comes with it's own 3 bar MAP. To be fair, the advanced tuning PC software is really raw right now, it's not easy to use.

Very cool ... did you have to Tune anything or just run the wizard?
Just ran the wizard, to be fair this is a largely stock engine but it runs very well, the idle is perfect.
@@6SpeedVert I like mine too.. leaves you with exact tge same as a holley system.. if you have a stock engine you can easily run it as is
What is the lift you're using?
It's an Atlas 7000lb mid rise lift, got it from Greg Smith Equipment in Delaware, it's awesome - best money I have ever spent.

Those are 3rd gen Firebird Formula seats, they are VERY comfortable and give a ton of support.

OK, I'll be the one to say it. This is not a review. A review has commentary where you talk about the car and comment on the good, the bad and ultimately how much you love driving it. This is a walkaround video so the title should have been "2001 Corvette Walkaround". That said, very nice car. I have a 2000 C5 black convertible 6 speed Corvette that looks identical to this car other than the power adder as mine is stock.

Nice car! What flex plate/spacer did you use to mate the LQ4 to the 4L60E?
I was lucky, the OEM dished flywheel and GM 97 torque converter worked fine.

You can adjust the laser
It's a bore scope, there is no adjustment.
@@6SpeedVert there are adjustments check the set screws at the laser tip the do not move or void your warranty area. They adjust the point of impact

Well i am sorry to here that . I recently ordered one from amazon bushnell recieved it 11/9 and i believe you must have a old model the new model turns on and off by screwing down the cap make sure you screw it all tje way down for it to be accurate if i rotate in barrel ot seems to spin very true
