Starburst Zombie (best version)
zhlédnutí 371Před 2 lety
I had a project where I wanted to showcase this wonderful Starburst advertisement from 2010. I couldn’t find a decent HD version so I recreated it using the best 720 version I could find, upscaled it with an AI upscaler and did some extensive work in Davinci with it. As far as I know, this is now the best copy of this video in existence. Unless, of course, those talented people at Chiat/Day are...

Two and half minutes with a seagull at Scotty Beach on the Sonoma coast. Just a random shot of a cooperative seagull that I had no need for but didn’t want to throw away. Shot on Sigma FP with Sigma 150-600.

A legendary video that needed some TLC. If I had a better original to start with, this could have been so much better. Reframed to 60 fps, upscaled with AI upscaler to 4K, graded, audio EQ and then back out as 1080.

Nothing serves as a stronger Generation X touchstone than Saturday Morning Cartoons. It was "our space". Everything for four hours was geared to us, and Dad didn't touch the remote. The funny thing is, no one would ever comment on Saturday morning cartoons at school or even seem excited for them. It was just a ritual that everyone took part and looked forward to in a general sense (part of what makes it so fondly remembered is it kicked off every two day break from school). A central irony of the Saturday Morning Cartoon Era is most of the cartoons were absolutely awful, with the exception of the theatrical animation from the 1940s and 50s.. so at a time when everything "old" was frowned upon, the "modern" stuff was actually a giant step backwards (for cost reasons)
Brings back memories of me and my sister lying on the floor arguing about what channel to watch. When making breakfast meant pouring a bowl of cereal like Lucky Charms or Coco Puffs.
I can't believe how much this hits the nostalgia, so much so I wish I could open a portal and go back. Such wonderful innocence and simplicity. No worrying about "THE MESSAGE" as one youtuber that reviews movies likes to say. Definitely made for kids with no other ulterior motives other than selling toys. And if there was, we wonderfully oblivious to it. 😁
What cartoon is this? 5:40
Brings back so many happy memories especially the Light Bright. My daughter saw that on TV and had to have one. I got it for her at Christmas
Cereal commercials were freaking bizarre back then.
At 18:10 ...This is one of the most iconic PSAs ever...Iron Eyes Cody with a tear...I still gives me chills and sadness...
At 15:30 ...these were the REAL GI Joes...I had three of them, one with a beard...
Quisp cereal
They didn't show Wonderama, Gumby, Davey and Goliath, Dusty's Treehouse, Winky Dink, Gigantor, or Kimba the White Lion. Does anybody remember those? 😊 OH, and Lawn Darts, Click Clacks, Jacks, and Sling Shots... lol...
This is just incredible. I saw my childhood flash in front of my eyes. All these shows and commercials sparked instant wonderful memories. Thank you for that!!!❤❤❤

10:31 It's a Linda Blair doll!
Loved Saturday cartoons and shows like “Run Joe Run” and “Isis.” But you had to watch on that day, because there was no way to record it! 😆
Boy! Does this bring back sweet memories of my childhood. I remember pretty much all of these shows and commercials. Schoolhouse Rock, OMG! I loved those and I learned from them as well!
I remember Isis came on right before Shazam. I watched them both but I loved Shazam, even had his action figure.
so, did the "H R" in H.R. Pufnstuf stand for "hand-rolled"??.............
My childhood 😢
The lady that played IsIs was just as pretty as Linda Carter when she played Wonder Woman
Boi I’m 54, and I’m still looking for cartoons every Saturday!!!
Today's Saturday mornings are nothing like the 70's Saturday mornings. I know I was there.. ✌️🤓
We are lucky to have seen a view so beautiful ❤
Very nice images.
What lovely inspirational words ! Thank you for sharing with us Jeff - you have more to offer in this direction.
I had some corn flakes and watched cartoons.
I took my Aussie puppy to the Russian River and he loves the water. It’s great to know that this place exists! Thank you!
Is the area enclosed? Is there a way to spray off dogs at the end of the day? Thanks for the video. Know now to wear boots! 🏖
I believe it is full fenced.
I remember this comercial and I friggin loved it!
i just came across Jeff recently on Creature Feature. I think they are so funny. I loved watching them. Vincent....Tangella and the Butler. Wish they made more. I loved watching them. So funny.
This was a lovely video! Thank you!
Excellent video! And the young lady is lovely. P.S. please keep up the good work on creature features, Vincent and the gang are hilarious with or without a guest!
How did I miss this? I love the music and the rugged shoreline. You captured the mood so well! Stunning and dramatic.
Wow that was deep. You can't unsee what's been seen. ( Taking a deep breath) . ......... I laughed with confidence at the bird scene because I saw the white hats checking the water The seagulls on the beach overlooking the ocean made me think of the white hats see everything you do. Hence ,," they're screwd. . I appreciate what you're doing. You express your pain so well that I couldn't help but feel it. And the Vulture scene,. Yes that are . Godspeed on a swift successful end .
I don't care what anyone says....The Land of the Lost had the BEST use of the banjo in ANY show ever!!!!! :-)
I want to travel back in time. This "future" sucks so bad.
I was born in 68.
0:08 the banana splits theme
so many childhood memories omg was it really like this haha
I suppose most kids value the era they were a child in more than they do the era(s) they exist in as adults. It makes you wonder why that is...and if it's something we should fix collectively as human beings and the way we view "adulthood."
3:30 Stranger danger! Stranger danger!
Have you been using the Hestia lut?
Nope.
I got this record on the back of a box of cereal. I THINK it was Sugar Puffs.
Awesome memories.
The opening song is by a band called The Dickies playing The banana splits theme.
I was there. Born 1972
😆😆👏👏
