Great Video! How do you determine which timeframe to look at to find the 4x trades? Do you simply scan through all of the lower timeframes once the daily setup is there? Thanks again
It depends on the time of day of the set up and what the pace of the market looks like. If it happens around the pit open, you could be on a small time frame like two minutes. If it's happening overnight, it would be a much longer timeframe perhaps 15 or 30 minutes. The goal is to monitor it in multiple time frames at the same time. Many times the entry for the two minute say would be identical to the entry for the five minute. This is the part that is more art than science. I will typically try it twice and if both fail, then I leave it alone.

what is the def. btw abc and 2b pattern?
An ABC is Elliott wave speak for a two legged counter trend pull back. 2b is a trap pattern popularized by Victor Sperandeo. An ABC can have a 2B pattern embedded in it. The C leg could be the 2B trap of the prior A leg.

I typically take some profit at 4 R. If it comes too quickly, I might leave a little bit more for 8R. i'm typically out the same day though because I don't want to holdovernight.
Loving your content sir! On the second ABC (min 8:44) it looks like it was setting up a potential reversal . It appears that the uptrend was getting extended and starting to decelerate with the the last 3 highs making smaller highs(so probably a divergence on the RSI) and then we get the lower high , lower low formation. My question is had the lower low been broken to the downside (which would have completed the U turn, would you haven taken that entry short ( I know it went the opposite direction but wanted to see your thought process in both scenarios)? Thank you!
You are correct that it would have been a U-turn. But I would not have taken it, because I need a higher time frame Bearish reason to then take the lower time frame entry trigger. The U-turn is only an entry trigger, it is not a standalone trade. For example, consider a stock gapping up after it already has an RSI (2)>95. That is a stock that is likely putting in an exhaustion gap and would want to reverse. That would be a great place to look for a lower timeframe U-turn to enter into that exhaustion trade. Do you see how the bigger picture context really determines which way you would want to take a trade and then the U-turn is just the mechanism that gives you hard levels from which to limit your risk.

Mother bar + two more bars is the minimum for a hoagie
Here you use a confluence of rsi and the hoagie. Do you always trade on confluneces, in other words, without a confluence do you ignore the setup?
typically, you need at the very least, the confluence of a higher time frame bias and a lower time frame entry. The more confluences, the better.

can you please elaborate on the ROC/Taylor rhythm here? you mentioned on the second day you would expect a bottom and a U Turn up. When the Daily 4x pattern happens, from what I've reviewed on your channel it is always a bonus if its the first flip of the ROC. I'm a bit confused on how we can play the 4x for continuation next day, if here the feedback is on day 2 of ROC we should expect a turn? Could you please share some further clarification on my misunderstanding please? TY QTE! Wondering if it is due to the Gann structure not yet turning (i.e. a 4x long daily bar setup having a LL/LH?)

How do you make your 2B setups more probable in your favors? and/Or when do you not take the 2B setup?
if you catch a 2b with the trend, that is usually a good entry. so for example, if we are in an up trend, and we get an ABC down, the C leg could set up as a 2B pattern. that would be a choice 2b.

yes, confluence with a higher timeframe trend is the best way to trade a 2b

2nd time running through your content archive - thank you for this. Curious about a comment you made on a previous video about trading ~14hours a day in the past. How did you structure your day and approach when trading for so many hours? Were you still looking for the same setups you show here, but on lower timeframes? Do you create a 'directional bias' for the day? I've been soaking up Linda Raschke's content and it sounds like you may have traded with her previously? Do you take a similar approach, then look to apply your suite of patterns to hop on that daily bias? I continue to struggle & get suckered into the noise when I attempt to go lower intraday. yes, I learned a lot from Linda. Back in the day, I would trade the morning session and then the afternoon session and if I was on a good streak, I would continue into Asia and Europe and then take a nap. based on my money management strategy, if I was on a streak, I was sizing things up continually so I didn't want to stop until I have a couple of losers

Scenario: I have placed a buystop above the trigger bar. Price takes out the low of this bar, then continues up towards my entry. If it triggers my entry, the bar formed would be an outside bar. You said elsewhere that there is a nuance play when it comes to outside bars. If I understood correctly, you would cancel the buystop before price triggered the entry? Why is this? What's wrong with an outside bar? Quality content! I have just discovered your channel and binge watching your videos.
yes, I would cancel the order before it triggers. The reason I don't enter on outside bars is that based on Gann bar counting, the outside bar does not change the direction of the trend. See the video on Gann bar counting.

QTE , on a typical 4x setup - do you need to see the ABC occur from the extreme high or low of the move? Or would you trade an ABC pullback in the direction of the daily 4x setup, if the A of the ABC pullback didn’t start from a fresh low? In a sense I suppose this means it could be a 3 legged pullback, as an example. Or do you look for strictly two legged?
Strictly from the extreme a two legged pullback. that being said, there are specific situations like crude oil. If you get an ABC before the pit open, there tends to be a third flag after the pit open.
Any insight into the best time to trade gold so as to reduce the amount of fakeouts?
2am - 10am CST is a good high volume time to trade gold. 7:00 - 7:40 am is the thoening range - that can have a counter trend move in it
Hi, I noticed that you did not count the HTF inside bar break (17 seconds in the video) but waited until the mother bar broke. I understand that the inside bar takes on the value of the previous bar just as an outside bar or engulfing bar does. My question relates to when we encounter the daily outside bar break; is this a legitimate break? Thanks for these videos. I am learning loads, and appreciate the time that has gone into making these vids, and your generosity in sharing your knowledge.
I treat a daily outside bar the same way. I would want the extreme of that bar to be taken out to confirm the direction.

SL beneath the low of setup bar (for a long). TP can be fixed based on ATR or you can trail bars till you stop out.

Depends on the market. GC/SI is 7:00 - 12:30 CST. ES/NQ/YM/RTY is 8:30-3:00 CST. CL/NG is 8:00-13:30.

you use a buy stop to enter a long. so you won't get taken into the trade unless it triggers. The flag can continue to keep going, but you're not in the trade until you get a higher high.
