Kudos.. Great melodic fluency in the lineage of pure beboppers like Ferdinand Povel and many others .. I keep on listening this improvisation to learn it by heart and replaying it on occasion. It is crydstal clear . Dutch cool is a bebop staple inherited from american jazz luminaries like Dexter Gordon.. Keep on paving the way. "Bebop is the music of the future" dixit Dexter Gordon

In all Chris Potter workshops/interviews he gets back to singing lines and how he hears this in his head - this is spot on how to apply it into practice and learn it deep. You mind if I use this concept in one of my videos? This moves mountains - if all would just do this man!

Doesn't this swing..and makes you feel upbeat and optimistic...used to listen to this every morning when I was crashing with a friend after I lost my apartment in one spring.....I love Jazz vocalists so much...now if you listen to Billie Holiday's interpretation she gives the "wistful reminiscing I may kill myself version"... love Billie too but when you're homeless..I'd rather listen to Ella in the mornings to start my day
