I really love the paralyzing of Barbara. Even though she’s my favorite Batgirl, I’m a giant fan of her going through a traumatic experience like this not cause of being Batgirl, but because of her relationship to Jim. The heart and soul of Gotham and order. It’s a brief scene that comes completely out of nowhere. It’s unfair and disturbing. Just like a real life tragedy. And so many writers have come to Barbara an even greater and more interesting character and hero as Oracle. Giving more diversity to the superhero lineup. Although I think there was something interesting stuff done with her in the New 52, I can’t say I’m a fan of her just getting surgery to fix such a real issue. But I’m betting we got the better of both worlds, as DC clearly didn’t want Robin and Batgirl anymore, as Barbara was almost completely forgotten with the start of the Post-Crisis universe, and Robin had already been getting phased out. And no matter what one’s opinions are on the Killing Joke and Alan Moore, I’m sure we can all agree this is a better story (strictly speaking plot wise) than what poor Jason got from Jim Sterling

As a gay man from Asia(India), don't you think it's unbelievable that despite having Xavier, Cable, Psylocke, Jean Grey who were all telepaths could know about this issue already?? This story doesn't fit okay, I mean a little erroneous. I wished they could change the storyline to suit better.
