As someone who has sit next to my 1.5 year old son, watching him struggle for his life, just a single heart beat away from death, I don't look forward to a disease like smallpox. History shows what can be done with smallpox, and Mpox is similar, apparently, to smallpox. So yeah. Gods will take care of me when my body fails, but what about my kids :( All this being said, I'd hate to see further lockdowns (though in Finland those were fairly light, in general) but if Mpox evolves into a more deadly disease (now a tad under 4 % deathrate), something more like a smallpox (roughly 30 % deathrate), I'm not going to object quarantine measures 😅 Mass vaccinations of smallpox should be pre-emptively started by all countries, so that we would never need to consider lockdowns (as, apprently, smallpox vaccine works pretty well against Mpox; not taking it out completely out of the picture, but lessening the symptoms greatly and thus, no need for lockdowns). As for the use of terror against citizens? It's nothing new, though to have it in Europe in modern times... Well, it only bodes nasty things for the future, I'm afraid. Stay safe, everyeone!
