That’s how drivers in the UK are. They go even though the traffic light is red. I am an American and I’ve been to the UK before, but when I go there, I just go on red.

Ive always said “treat everyone as if they are a trained assain” but l learnt how to drive after i was riding motorbikes on the road 2 years before i got my driving license so here is my question to you; would you be apposed to restrictive licenses to car drivers like the are to motrocyclists? Similar to how they are in northern Ireland?

Anticipation I would say is the first part to hazard perception. If you anticipate you will often avoid a hazard becoming a hazard

I find a Sat Nav is only useful if you want to find a particular address either residential or business. But driving from one town to another you don't need a Sat Nav for there are road signs to guide you. If you can't read the language of the country you're driving in then you shouldn't be driving there in the first place. Living in Australia and visiting the UK I found the in car Sat Nav to be a massive distraction. Going along a motorway and the Sat Nav spoke " in 500 yards bare right" and it counted them down in 100 increments and after that down to 50 yards. Eventually it spoke "now bare right" which was not taking an exit off the motorway that I didn't want to take anyway. So I switched it off. I have a Tom Tom Sat Nav in Australia and that too can be annoying with loud chimes for a speed camera location where there is no speed camera. There may have been a mobile speed camera car that we have but what's the point of reporting that for it's mobile so it can move to many different places. I'm one of these oddballs that can still read a paper road map which many today are unable to do.

How long are your tests ??? Ours only last about 10 min in California.....

Handbrake on can sit and relax not that you need to do every time.

Ive been doing my lessons since march i feel like a failure cause my instructor is saying you should all this already and that he doesnt need to tell me what to do anymore and i should know . Im struggling with the gear changes and feel like i cant do anything right either im to close to the curb or to far away from it . I dont want to waste my money and give up. Hes trying to convince me to go automatic but i dont want to

No advanced signage when it is normally advised to stay left for a 2nd exit turn off. Road markings only visible at the last second. Road markings faded, further reducing visibility. Blame the lack of maintenance. Not the driver. Were it an actual test an instructor would be familiar with the route and the lack of clear signage and would have advised that the left lane is left turn only.

Omg so dangerous. It happen to me had a car on otherside of the road over taking two cars at once was fully on my side I had to break but not fully he just went back to his side of the road in time I'm learning still and was in my partners car getting some practice before my 4th test. Shook me up but was told I did well managing what had happened, it's not put me off driving though 😊

I had a dreadful experience where a pump was faulty and it deflated my tyres. Thankfully, I've got my own machine that I can do without stress at home. Can you inflate your tyres if it's raining? I always time it so it's a dry day and the tyres are cold

Does it matter if the tyres are warm from driving?
