To help,keep barnacles from attaching themselves to the ships hull. When barnacles attach to the hull, they mess with the smooth finish and slow the ship and it costs more fuel because the hull isn’t smooth and slows the forward motion.

İt is to make fun of the fact that he had all that grief ONLY AFTER seeing so many people die to his own creation, that was only made to wreak havoc in the first place.

Let’s say 300,000 North soldiers died to end slavery and save the Union. Others were blinded, burned, starved, bayoneted, and lost limbs, and/or a combination of all these war related injuries. What compensation are these families receiving from these sacrifices. Many dead on either side ever owned slaves. Compensation is ridiculous and makes all the families who emigrated after 1865 pay for something that had nothing to do to with, make them pay after almost 160 years!
