what do you mean? at 6:51 there is a car coming into the roundabout in the lane that FSD drifted into. I intervened because FSD should have stayed in the left lane and left room for the other traffic entering the right lane at the roundabout

I do understand that it did something wrong but it looks like your car was completely in the lane prior to that car approaching not necessarily needing a disengagement

not sure. I've had it happen before in the middle of a drive, but it is very rare. Maybe inefficient cooling and electronics overheated in the AZ desert?

I've had that happen 1 time since I started using FSD beta. Things like that are what changed my driving behavior with FSD. Rather than wait for the car to merge by itself, I will intervene so that I don't miss the merge and end up with a weird situation like what you experienced. I intervene so that Tesla has that "on their record" and so that they know I had an issue with how FSD acted. If I wait for the car to do its own thing and doesn't do what I want it to do, Tesla won't know of the issue if I don't intervene.

I have about 79,400 miles on my M3. Not sure how many of those are FSD miles... but probably more than half.

Because that is the HOV lane and AZ law allows EVs into that lane, which is usually faster, unless of course there are slower drivers using that lane.

Well if you own a Tesla then you would know that almost everything is customizable. You can change it to drive very aggressive.

dunno, I'm also still stuck on 12.3.6. I heard somewhere they were rolling it out to the newer Model Ys first and I have a M3, so that still seems like it could be true. What do you drive?

They were only rolling 12.5 to cars with the hardware 4 cameras, but Tesla just started to roll out 12.5.1.5 to cars that has hardware 3 cameras.

@@gogplays1686 I agree with all you say but then the title should reflect this. I'm wildly impressed by FSD even though we don't have it here in the UK. I'm also 60, and while I don't have an MTV attention span, I still don't want to watch a dull drive to work for 30 mins. I would have absolutely no issues if the title was "Another dull drive to work with Tesla FSD".

​@@mikebikekite1 I understand what you're saying but I felt that the title did reflect the overall message of "Tesla FSD is so good now, that it feels like a person and therefore isn't problematic on the road." Reason is because title says that TESLA FSD whatever has a normal drive. I'm not sure how it is in the UK, but from where I am, a normal drive usually implies one with minimal stressful events/incidents/or accidents. Although it's not to the magnitude as putting "dull" in the title, I still think it did it's job, but I think you still raise a valid point, I just personally didn't have a problem with it and this comment was my thought process of why I don't have a problem with it.

nah, GREY is manual. when it turns blue then it's auto. (the line that is the car is pointing)

hardly clickbait. uneventful means not marked by interesting or exciting events. This drive was exactly that. no need to be specific or explain anything. why would you choose to watch a video that is self-described as "uneventful"?? and btw, crossing the solid white HOV lane line in AZ is perfectly legal and safe. Crossing the solid white HOV lane line in AZ is perfectly legal and safe, but FSD rarely will do it on its own. In fact, the HOV lane in AZ is always a solid line. So you are forced to cross a solid line to get in and out. No where is it striped/dashed. What state do you live in where it is illegal?

Usually safety. I can see cars in the far right lane before the car goes to merge onto the freeway, so I sometimes disengage to make sure I can get over safely (before a car blocks the lane I need to merge into). Also, my main goal is to get over to the HOV lane and get up to speed as soon as possible, and I know FSD rarely will change lanes automatically into the HOV lane, so I just manually do it. I do have several videos where I let it merge over, but in the majority of my content, I take over and do it manually. Hopefully when they combine the freeway and city FSD stacks, they will be able to update some of the freeway issues.

there's a setting where you can choose if it will camp in the left lane or if it will stay out of the left lane. Because this is in Arizona and the HOV lane is a restricted lane, the lane line is solid white and FSD has not been properly trained in AZ to cross that line most of the time. I think it doesn't know it can cross it, so it stays in the HOV lane.

what about this was unlawful? the car comes to a stop at the stoplight at 1:00. There is no sign saying "no right turn on red" or anything. The cross traffic has a green left arrow, so a right hand turn is protected. It wasn't impatient. I pressed the accelerator gently to get the car to turn without waiting for it to calculate if we were clear, because I could see that we were. And it was only going 10-12 MPH when it was aiming right for the cones. I drive using FSD the way that I drive. If Tesla wants to use the way that I drive to train its system, that'd be awesome, but I don't expect them to. But if I have to supervise the system, I'm going to let the system know when it needs to do something. I'm not just going to sit back and let it drive... not until I can sit in the back seat and replyt to comments on my videos while not paying attention to the road at all... There are times I make mistakes and I force FSD into something I shouldn't have - and i typically don't post those videos because it happens very rarely. But this wasn't one of those times.

@@Phenix9-TM3 The unlawful part I’m talking about is it not fully stopping at the right turn on red. I have often pushed my car to go when I was impatient and many times I have seen it miscalculate where it’s actually going to go, and get way too close to curbs or other vehicles. So, I believe that this is the most likely reason it F’d up

That's interesting. there are a couple of small roundabouts here and I have a couple videos where there are moments I use them. For the most part, my experience in the roundabouts has been pretty good. We have roundabouts that transfer to multiple roundabouts so the lines on the roads get crossed over each other. That when the car seems to struggle a bit. In a simple roundabout the car does good. Loving everything else so far

I know that the freeway driving stack was separate for a while. I can't remember which version they are all supposed to be combined into one software stack - maybe 12.4.x? I know it's frustrating - they still haven't fixed being able to enter and exit the HOV lane in AZ - it's because the lane is a solid white line and in other states, you're not supposed to cross a solid white line. I don't record voice memos for my disengagements, but I feel like they should know by now that it is vital to allow the car to cross the solid white HOV lane line in AZ in order to enter and exit the HOV lane. I used to experience the quick freeway merges in some spots in AZ, and I usually just either take over or use the turn signal early before the merge to tell the car to start thinking about the merge earlier than it would normally do it by itself. maybe that might help you. The versions are progressing though. I'd urge you to use FSD as much as possible and just take over in the moments when it isn't working for you. That's what will help train the system. the purpose of my channel was to demonstrate how well FSD was working in the area I drive in. your comment helps others understand how well it works in your area too. yes.... this. I agree. I also want a sliding scale % of how chill/ aggressive it is. I feel like on a scale of 0 to 100 where 0 is drive the speed limit & stay in the right lane on the freeway and 100 is always speeding and weaving in and out of traffic on the freeway, I'm probably like an 75-80 - like get me there fast but safe. I feel like your options would fit into that scale somewhere. Maybe not, but yes, more options.

just fine? maybe a little bit more battery use when the BMS tries to keep temps down. I expected the desert heat to be really bad for the battery, but i have not really had any issues.
