OH GOD I FINALLY FOUND IT!!! I think I was around 10/11 years old when I watched this speedpaint and it inspired me so much art-wise!! Here's an Idea that I have on what happened to him. He was abused by something or someone when he was little then he became aggressive and followed commands and started listening to them and I'm guessing they made him think he was raised their and that's how he was supposed to be "treated" and they changed his brain so much that's how it happened. Yes sadly this also happens in real life...kids, people, animals get abused and they're brains get changed to think that "oh this is where I live, this my country" etc! Stay safe everyone!
