And for wizards, we have a hint : the Dark Wizard IS a Istar said Tom Bombadil ( there was a theory about the Witch-King of Angmar) It can be only 2 options : Saruman or a Blue Wizard (Palando or Alatar) If it s like in the books, the Stranger and The Dark Wizard can only be Blue Wizards because Gandalf and Saruman come in Middle Earth in the Third Age. And it can make sense because these blue wizards take action in the East in the books, in Rhun ! (and we don't know a lot about it because Tolkien didn't write a lot about them, but he wrote that maybe they initiate some cults and mystic traditions, it makes sense with the Dark Wizard here !). Maybe they decided to use Blue Wizards because the lack of writings on them permit to Amazon to create some interestings stories ? clever if it's that In the other hand we have a LOT of clues that indicate the Stranger as Gandalf. And it makes no sense at all like you said that Saruman is the Dark Wizard because he is GOOD, he is corrupt only during the Ring War in Lord Of The Rings events Maybe it is a mix like they used the lore of the Blue Wizards and they took Gandalf and Saruman characters because the audience know them. Or maybe the Stranger is Gandalf and they just use one Blue Wizard for the Dark Wizard To be honest, the fact that the Stranger is Gandalf i don't care at all because it brings a lot with the Harfoot point of view and it's cool to bring that but the Dark Wizard as Saruman, meh. I hope it''s not haha, don't make sense. If they use him just because the audience will recognize his name, it is fan service and quite boring. If it is him, I hope they'll do something with the character

Tom Bombadil has a wife : Goldberry, the River-Daughter :) and she has as much mystery as her husband in the lore :p It is her but why is he mysterious about it idk haha

I think the Eagle is there to show the People to return to the old ways by following the Queen. It's screaming when the people turn on her and embrace Pharazon. And flies away. They take it as a sign for him, when it's very likely a harbinger of their own doom.

Great reaction, Man. Yes, I've been looking forward to this for a while. The very earthly suburban setting is disorienting/off-putting...however, knowing that the creators are going for an Amblin/Spielberg movie vibe within The SWU, it makes total sense. It would be extraordinary, if there is an actual hidden, abandoned Jedi Temple on this (new) planet, and the ship had something to do with it. I've noticed that this ship, The Onyx Cinder, seems to look A LOT like the unnamed starship that is faltering and seemingly crashing on to a planet, in the trailer for the (upcoming) video game, Star Wars: Eclipse. Since seeing the artwork for, Skeleton Crew, in 2022, I've wondered if that ship is a throwback model from a different era in The SWU (most likely, The High Republic). I'll be interested to see how/where this new story fits in to The Mandoverse. I hope the rumors are true, and the kids end up accidentally venturing to deep parts of The Outer Rim, along w/ reaching The Unknown Regions...where all kinds of mysteries and horrors exist...including members of The Remnant Empire. I keep hoping this motley crew, during their adventures, comes upon Lord Boba Fett and Mistress Fennec Shand in the middle of a heist with their gotra, being badasses...seeing Fennec interacting with lost children -- YET AGAIN -- would be a fun, cool interlude...after all, she has experience, protecting Grogu and Omega. Speaking of Omega, it would be so cool, if her live-action iteration appears in this series or other parts of Favreau and Filoni's pocket universe. I think this one is going to be a good one. Looking forward to seeing you and your crew react to this, in December. May The Force Be With You...

I also thought “this feels and looks kinda like Goonies and E.T.” I saw those movies as a kid and have loved them so seeing that kind of look and feeling with a Star Wars setting is like combining so many things I love and I’m here for it! I was already excited that Star Wars did the mystery genre thing with Acolyte and the spy thriller genre with Andor, but 1980s children’s adventure genre wasn’t even on my radar. I didn’t realize I even wanted this in Star Wars until watching this trailer! I’m excited for December to get here now!!

I've enjoyed your reactions and reviews immensely... thanks for being significantly more thoughtful and reflective than the loudest opinions out there. I've felt a bit mixed about the series too - navigating the morally grey needs more careful script writing and character development, and this came up short a bit too often. But I agree completely, the lightsaber duels were phenomenal. And Yoda will always win me over.

Ugh another hate channel

I love that the show introduced things never seen on screen for the first time. Plagueis, crystal bleeding, cortosis. Overall I was happy with the final episode. Sadly they wasted the whole 7 on flashbacks, most of which we already knew from Ep3. But I still hope for S02 focusing on Osha, Qimir and Plagueis Manny Jacinto's portrayal of Qimir was absolutely amazing. And he got the best lines
