I know most commenters here like drugs a lot, but if you're objective, Linkletter's tirade about being a gruesome spectacle was one of the best insults in modern history.

Absolutely no proof. I really like how the interviewer never fails to interrupt just as a salient point is being made. Typical New York City garbage. Linkletter is very Trumpian in fact. There is no forensics involved, just mouthy assertions. No drugs were found in her system yet he continued to make bald face assertions that it was involved. Art Linkletter was a Canadian hobo comedian. Why does anyone take his word for anything at all?

I can't imagine an interviewer physically stopping a guest from leaving a show. I suppose Leary was being a coward and didn't want to be confronted by Linkletter. At the same time if he felt he was being set up, it was his right to leave the place. Was LSD responsible for his kid's death, well, it might have triggered something that was dormant. Art Linkletter is revealing a lot of things in his speech. His advice to parents is maybe a reflection on the reasons for his daughter's personal issues. Maybe he was not caring enough, maybe she suffered from anxiety and he just didn't listen to her. At the same time he's spot on about Leary. A brilliant mind totally messed up by years of abuse and a figure of authority that messed up and entire generations with the promotion of a very powerful drug.

... and WHO again was this unknown wannabe little prick of an interviewer? Talk about being full of hisself! LOL
