back in the day... we had rollin thunder. a detroit diesel powered van truck. cool rig for early in life oof monster truck.
yea a innercooler boot.... coupling between piping for the turbo and intake for the engine. blew the boot apart.. no more air. so the truck died
quality cummins right there.

Stock bottom end, pulled for a few seasons and pistons still have no melt marks in them.
this one actually runs smooth to 4,000 and thats easier said than done
this truck must have a girdle kit rods steel pistons to not melt down either way a bad truck

i wanna challenge bigfoot to outpull the hushpower truck. big block methanol snorting supercharged gasser.. and a small cummins 6 cylinder turbo diesel. if big foot does not win, it would be very embarresing.

What people don't seem to be realizing here is that Diesel monster trucks are still a new thing. There are only a few even in existence right now. So to criticize and say they are not as good as our standard monster trucks seems a bit shallow. You have to give them time to tune in the trucks, and with no one from the past to help them, it's pretty much starting from scratch. I firmly believe in the next 3-5 years, diesel monster trucks will be competing side by side with the others. We'll see.

@caulk04 This is at an INDOOR pull, if you see the smoke you can not breathe. Think about it. It helps us that have a "fetish" for pulling make it through the winter.

Boring. Diesel has no 'snap' to it with the turbo lag and whatnot. . .
@miketheredneckable Sorry, but its not even close. Dragsters are turning 7,000-10,000 RPM making 6,000+HP and burning pure nitro methane for fuel. Monster trucks make 1000-1800HP and only rev above 5,000RPM for short periods at the most. They usually use high octane race fuel and/or an alcohol blend. A weak belt shredding is still not a motor breaking and is not weight related. It also doesnt happen commonly on monster trucks or any motor in the 1000-1800HP ballpark.
@miketheredneckable thats still not the motor breaking and not weight either. Superchargers and blowers dont break belts very often except on dragsters really.
@miketheredneckable Never seen a motor break from weight, usually just a backfire that blows them off. Compound charging would be good for on-demand power, but so would a propane trickle injector.
It just kept going haha. I expected higher number though.
