Just Plodding - Replacing the sink plug in the motorhome.
It's been another long time since doing a video but thought this one would be interesting for many that have the same or a similar issue. So I hope it's helpful to some of you.
A WORD OF WARNING: I've been made aware that you should be very careful when removing these plugs on older basins as UV light and the use of bleach if you or a previous owner have used it, can make the material the basin is made of EXTREMELY brittle and could crumble!
Link to the plug I used - www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07P54XN36?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
Big thanks to Mark Allcorn on the Bailey 79 Owners and Friends facebook group for putting me on the right track for a replacement!
Also, thank you to Bensound for the royalty free music I used for the intro.

PS, there's no paid endorsement etc, I don't get anything from amazon, I bought and paid for the plug.

Just Plodding - August 2023 - Little Roodee, Chester. Coach bay clarity!
zhlédnutí 147Před 11 měsíci
It's been some time since I did a video as we've been enjoying the new motorhome too much! This was our last stop on our way home from our August 2023 trip to the Isle of Mull which we really enjoyed. We have stayed at Chester a few times and love the city but there has always been ambiguity over whether or not larger vehicles like motorhomes can use the (usually empty) Coach bays. Well no more...

November 2022 our trip to Ireland (to include a few days with my parents) was an exercise in seeking out more overnight stops but with a focus on being near or even in a town as often as possible. This was in fact a stop off on the way to the ferry, we live in Bedfordshire and were going via the Cairnryan Ferry the next morning. Thats over 350 miles or 6.5 hours and we had the dogs so it's just...

So, because less than half the staff in my trust were too afraid or too apathetic to vote we didn't meet the legal level to allow us to strike. So, I've decided to take the money that an average nurse will lose from their wages through striking on 15th December 2022 went shopping in Sainsburys and donated that amount to the local foodback donation bins! #Supportournurses

Excellent video! My father-in-law had a similar incident a couple of days ago - So now I've just disassembled and tried to repair the mounts to the lower wide angle mirror (3 screws where the plastic mounts had break loose). I used Epoxy (two-component) to fasten it and tomorrow I'll try to remove the original 3 screws, drill through and use screws + nuts (also glued with Epoxy). Well that's the plan anyway ;)

Also since taking mine off last time and putting it back on, my hand break appears to be locking on. Is it possible that iv twisted the hand break cable and given it more tension but twisting the tin center around??????? I replace my glow plugs but 1 plug spins around on the top half making my van judder slightly on start up ( brand new 2 day old plugs ) my new long length ones arrived today so was thinking of changing them again but need a quicker way...... @@JustPlodding I am a member cheers buddy ( tymmuffphii ) also on the bongo southwest page on Facebook and another one with same name...... I just bout some blue silicone Flexi hose from Amazon in blue as it makes the van go faster apparently. Now every site iv seen suggest the temp ranges from -60 upto 160. This stuff I bought says it can reach 260 or 280. It has amazing world wide reviews and I used your videos pausing meny meny time to rebuild my kit haha that bottom connection down under the engine is a right pain to reach and connect. I had to use silicone grease and a clean rubber glove to gain some friction just to put it on. I was worried about it all being too close to a very hot engine, but I guess if it's made for that it should be ok. Today my 1way check valve ( SAME AS YOURS ) Arrived after ordering yesterday had arrived so I'm off to fit that shortly and complete the circuit...... And rebuild everything as I took the metal center plate off aswell as the seats lol...... I need it to live and sleep in as I'm homeless...... Next is oil and fuel filters then wheel arch trim vaneers. HAVE A GREAT DAY.
