As a Christian, I say that your view is not accurate on all Christians. Myself, I have Muslim friends and love them and they seem to share the same emotion towards me. You're right that there are radical Christians as there are radical Muslims. I'm sure there are also Christians that want to convert Muslims as there are Muslims that want to convert Christians. We have freedom of choice because that is a God given gift. We shall find out when our time expires but myself, I respect all people while I am here and I also respect how dedicated Muslims are in prayer. In the end, we all recognize there is a God and it sounds like moralisticly, we believe in the same values as you were telling Andrew. You believe in God and Jesus is a prophet, we believe in God sent Jesus to give us a chance because all people are sinners and are doomed to eternal hell without someone taking the burden on the cross. I understand its hard to grasp the trinity but the easiest way I can explain it is with water. Water comes in forms of snow and ice but is all goes back to water. Thats how we look at Father Son and Holy Spirit. It all goes back to God and its not 3 in 1 its One. I appreciate men like you sharing positive words for another man and I hope one day, we all respect freedom of choice and not judge one anothers freedom to choose. There should never be dislike to another person for how they believe or don't believe. God will be the Judge of that. When we peel back the layers of religion, man started religion but there is one true God and its to the individual to make that decision on how they get there. I realize this is long but I think it is worth the read if you want to hear an honest opinion about Mohammed by someone who has been studying scripture for over 30 years - thousands of bible studies, as well as studied the lives of saints and prophets, and religious beliefs of various religions. And on top of that, I believe that God has given me a very strong gift of discernment. (I normally can spot lies and shams, a mile away.) I, personally consider Mohammed as one of the most evilest men that ever lived, just for the multitudes he's led astray and denied a relationship with Christ through his lies, never mind the other atrocities he committed. - Mohammed married an underage child of 6 years old. It doesn't matter if this strange marriage was consumated then or not (although given the fact that Mohammed was a sexual pervert who had many wives, including a slave that he either married or had as a concubine) -as well as married his son's wife, tells me that it may very well have been consumated at 6. The very fact by itself, that he was "helplessly in love" with an underage child- indicates he was a pedophile who corrupted a minor who didn't have the life experience to make an informed decision about marriage. - Mohammed put edicts out to have people either taxed or killed if they didn't convert to Islam. Free will is a God given rite given to us by God. No human being has the rite to take away another human being's choice as to what spiritual path that they choose to go down. - Out of all of the MANY egregious actions this man was involved in, the worst was him lying about the very Son of God, Jesus Christ, and stating He wasn't crucified. This was an outlandish lie. Even atheist scientists and archeologists state that Jesus was crucified. We also have men like John, Peter, Paul, and others who walked, talked, and knew Jesus personally who wrote gospels and epistles proclaiming the word of Christ's crucifixion and resurrection, who allowed themselves to tortured, imprisoned. exiled, and martyred for Christ. Peter (one of Jesus' closest friends) asked to be crucified upside down because he didn't feel worthy to die in the same manner Christ died. I HIGHLY DOUBT THAT THESE VERY ENLIGHTENED MEN WOULD ALLOW THEMSELVES TO BE TORTURED, IMPRISONED, EXILED AND MARTYRED FOR A FAIRY TALE. Additional reasons this outlandish lie was particularly egregious. 1. Mohammed lied against the very Son of God, so he lied against God Himself by stating this. THINK ABOUT THAT FOR JUST A MINUTE - MOHAMMED LIED AGAINST GOD. Why did he do this? My opinion is that he was a mega- narcisstic man who couldn't stand anyone not following him, hence his atrocious edicts to have those that didn't follow him taxed or killed. He probably knew that Jesus would be a threat to him, hence this outlandish lie proving him to be a false prophet. A more diabolical reason is that this was inspired by satan. As Jesus is satan's arch enemy. 2. Because of this outlandish lie that Jesus was not crucified, Mohammed, no doubt, has denied BILLIONS of people over the centuries, a relationship with Christ (all of which he will be accountable to God for). -Moe stated that it was OK to rape women confiscated in war even if these women were currently married and whose husbands were still alive. He said that the rapers could, themselves, declare that these women's marriages were "annulled". I guess this was to make the raping seem "moral". - Mohammed contradicted major revered prophets like Moses, Isaiah, Jesus, and all four gospel writers, about major historical events such as the creation narrative. He stated Ishmael was the intended sacrifice of Abraham. Moses stated it was Isaac. The reason for the downfall of satan is totally different from what a highly revered prophet Isaiah stated. He contradicted all four gospel writers and stated Jesus wasn't crucified. These were MAJOR HISTORICAL EVENTS that Moe seemed to get "mixed up" on. - He stated unscientific claims in the quran, i.e., there were seven earths, that the sun has a "resting place", etc. - I've noticed even occult or superstitious things that he stated or was involved in himself i.e., he stated he would appear in people's dreams (this is occult related). That cats "bring blessings". He placed unwarranted restrictions and burdens on people that are not biblically sound - dogs are not allowed in the home, many strange restroom "rituals". He stated no one should enter a house through the back door. There are many additional superstitions and rituals (which normally are occult or magic related) that are too numerous to list here. Mohammed also claimed that he was put under a "spell" by a sorcerer at one point. Folks, normally, very highly dutiful and obedient servants of God, aren't easily (if at all) put under sorcerer's spells for any length of time - if at all. There are reasons for this, one being, if you have the power of God on your side, something like this is rare. People are normally subject to these things when they dabble or involved with these things. - Mohammed did not live the life of a normal prophet which seems to be explained consistently throughout scripture - usually a very ascetic life - normally giving up most worldly attachments. They do not lie and state they got certain revelations from God when they obviously didn't. Normally if a person is a prophet or close follower of God, God will normally let you know "when you go off course". I see no remorse or repentance of Mohammed marrying an underage child, nor of all the massive murdering he did to those innocent human beings who simply didn't want to follow his cult, nor any retraction of his outlandish lie that Jesus was not crucified - - even up until Mohammed's death. Again, there was no remorse or retractions made. Conclusion: Moe was a false prophet who lied massive amounts of times. He mass murdered many innocent people for simply not wanting to follow him. He was a liar, a polygamist, and a pedopile. He was involved in superstition and the occult. He owned and sold slaves. He was a racist (i.e., he stated that "blacks look like raisins", and there was an instance of him selling black slaves for less than other races). He lied against God Himself, and contradicted major highly revered established prophets. Because of his lie against the very Son of God, Jesus Christ, and stating, He wasn't crucified, Moe, no doubt has denied BILLIIONS of people, over the centuries, a true relationship with Jesus Christ, all of which he will be accountable to God for. I go back to my original statement - I consider him one of the most evilest men that ever lived. It remains a mystery why people are allured to this religion.
