I stick with DVDs 📀 for mostly tv shows and I upgrade to blue ray for the movies 🍿 because 😅

I buy mines from Amazon there hella expensive but worth it if ur a true move and music cds 💿 and blue rays and DVDs 📀 collectors like me I have a big room soooo I got a lot of space for physical media is all about being organize and not messy room

Oh man that slipcover looks beautiful! I ended up going with the steelbook which I love but that makes me want to grab the other edition! I double dip like crazy, I own the Halloween, Evil Dead and phantasm films way more times than I should 😅 Great video!

Very cool stuff sir! I don’t know if I’ll ever have a collection like this, I’m picky with what I like and I’m still at under 250 titles. But they’re virtually all personal favourites 😀

Never feel bad for buying a few editions for a movie you love. It's rare to do with me but for something that rarely comes out with original artwork or artwork retaining the spirit of the original it's totally worth it. Kinda envious of the more expensive versions but I'm super happy with my $41.99 edition. Just wish I could've gone full tilt with this one haha

sry but i like seeing just the dvds on the shelf so many others to watch hopefully you update do video of them on shelves not you and dvds..... dvd lovers want to see them on the shelf and the front. THX

I don't have a massive collection either - and I'm an AVID film buff, and have been since I was a boy, taping stuff off HBO. I believe in the quality over quantity approach - and it's like that with my music (vinyl and CD) too. I also have kept all my DVDs I have been collecting since around 2003. Won't get rid of them unless I replace, say, a non anamorphic disc or one that looks horrid with the Blu or 4K. My income won't allow me to buy everything, as you mentioned, either.... and this extends to buying all the vinyl I want. I am just a freelance writer, so our bills are basically paid by solely my wife's income. We are just not in a position to buy random titles just to fill up shelves. I have that Twilight Zone DVD box. Nice set but horribly packaged. I keep my entire collection alphabetized, though, keeping films, shows and a couple of concerts all together. I separate DVD from Blu-ray/4K, and keep box sets alongside films. I also go against the grain a little when it comes to titles with NUMBERS - most people put these at the start of a collection, but I spell them out alphanumerically....so, for example, 8 Mile goes under "E."

Nice collection! I only have about 50 or so movies and TV shows. I get most of my stuff for $1 or less (even Blu-ray!), because most people just don’t want physical media. Every once in a while, I’ll get a collector’s edition or a 4K Blu-ray.

One day without physical media, streaming services can raise their price and you have no choice! I think this is their strategy to make more money from streaming addicts.

Your number of movies probably matches up to mine. My wife thinks I have too many but then I show her other peoples collections. I have about a 15’ long shelf that is about 3/4 full. I am like you. Only collect the ones I really want and get the DVD if it’s cheaper.

I'm in agreement with you sir. Collecting just to have a bigger collection doesn't work for me. As an example, I hate the transformers franchise so I don't and never will own a transformer movie. I suspect my collection will always be relatively small because I only buy movies that I want to own and watch.

Thank goodness you have dvds, some collectors just get bluray and are missing out on alot of movies.

So im totally jealous of your The Thing Steelbook. I saw it when it came out but slept on it bdcause at the time, i had no idea i would eventually upgrade all my dvds to blu ray. I got the 2022 4k steel. But man that blu ray art you have is the best one.

A multi region Blu Ray player is a must for any serious movie collector I have few Criterion Blu Ray's that are region 1 and because I'm from Australia our movies are region 4 so I got a chip in my Oppo 203 4K player
