The first two days of a seven day ride from and returning to Lima, Peru,. From Lima to San Mateo on the first day then on to Ticlio at 4,800m before descending to the mining town of La Oroya. Joining on these two days hundreds of other cyclists taking part in the event Desafío Ticlio organised by Team Cleteros Lima,

A seven day ride around Ayacucho. Visiting Intihuatana at Vischongo and the Aguas Turquesas at Mill before returning by bus to Lima. Plans to visit Volcan Pachapumpum and return to Nazca were abandoned as it became apparent that riding times were slower than anticipated and problems with my tent continued.

The last two days of the ride. Returning by the same route to Barranca in two days instead of four. The last part with a strong headwind but got back to Barranca before dark. Meet four cyclists just beginning the Peru Divide.

A four day ride from the coast at Barranca into the Andes Mountains. Day 4 arriving at the thermal waters of Baños de Guñoc. Camping at 4200m with rain in the night. A leaking tent and problems with stove pump made another day camping not look like a good idea so decided not to press on over the mountains but to return the way I had come tomorrow.

The third day of my ride from sea level to 4300 metres in the Peruvian Andes. A short day to Cajatambo from Tumac. Arriving and time for lunch and to check in to the Hotel Huayhuash. In the evening a preparation for a later festival provided local colour.

The second day of a ride in the Andes. From Cahua to Tumac. Ending up at the thermal baths of Tumac. The camping area behind the baths has been covered with a landslide but the owners of the baths allowed me to sleep inside for the night as well as being able to relax in a bath of hot mineral water.

The first day of a six day ride into the Andes of Peru to visit the the hot pools at 4,200m in the Huayhuash Range of the Cordillera Blanca. The first day is a ride from the coastal town of Barranca to the village of Carhua in the Pativilca valley.

Day 6 - The last day of the ride in the Cordillera Blanca of the Peruvian Andes. Finally climbing through the Cañon de Pato and arriving to carat to take the bus back to Lima

Day 5 of a six day ride around the northern part of the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru. Crossing the pass of Alta Cahuacona at just over 4,200m and beginning the descent back to the valley of the River Santa.

Day 4 of a bike ride around the Cordillera Blanca in Peru. Unfortunately this day is lacking and video but the route and some of the views can still be seen.

Day 3 of the ride around the northern part of the Cordillera Blanca in the Peruvian Andes. An easier ride than the first two days but a long day riding. Pomabamba is a large town with all facilities, plenty of places to stay and eat.

Day 2 of a six day bike ride around the northern part of the Cordillera Blanca in Peru. Leaving the campsite at Yurac Corral and climbing to the Portachuelo de Llanganuco at about 4,800m. Then a long fast descent to Yanama to stay in the excellent Andean Lodge.

A six day bike ride around the northern part of the Cordillera Blanca following the route laid out by Neil and Harriet Pike. Starting from Yungay at 2490m and riding up to the campsite at Llanganuco Lake at 3860m on the first day.

The final day of the bike ride to Baños de Collpa. Descent from 3000m to Huaral to catch a bus back to Lima.
