After riding is a friends Whaler Outrage, I think it was a 26, I was not impressed at all. It was ugly, rolly-polly, and had unnecessary junk mounted all over the interior of the boat. For me I like cleanly rigged boats that can be cleaned, polished, and waxed easily with great fishability.

That canal or inlet is so unique that it really should be a no passing zone, you have to maintain a certain speed just to maintain control and stability of the boat. What people consider a wake are just the waves and swells of the inlet. Yes the cigarette boat should be ticketed, we do know in the past that the NJSP have ticketed owners of the boat that are caught on video for doing such..the key is if they can visibly see the registration or the boats name.

There is absolutely nothing "pleasant" about that canal. What a nightmare. Endless large wakes bouncing off the walls.

I've been saying since your footage last year with one of those bow gates flapping open and letting water in. Bad design. A large ferry I believe from Ireland sank from a bad design of Ramp/Gate not properly closed. It sank taking many souls with it.

That's a crazy rough canal and it's so narrow, some boats have to go more than no wake just to be safe but that guy was over the top. Of course he should be ticketed. We have the Cape cod canal and it' can be really nasty and sometimes the speed limit is absurd if you wanna get thru it but then again it's about 40 times wider. But dam, they patrol that hard and cameras all along it.
