These are what I long for too. That’s what makes this all so sad. Men, woman, human. We want the same things. So why do we keep missing each other? No doubt women are missing what a man longs for. And no doubt men are missing what a woman longs for. I think most of us are scared of rejection and aren’t willing to be vulnerable before we can trust. But by holding out, the other person can’t fully trust us because we are holding back. And vice versa. So… Who goes first? Who should be the one to be vulnerable first? I think part of the solution is that every single one of us must be willing to be authentic, vulnerable, and courageous without the other person proving themselves as trustworthy. (I think this is different than someone proving themselves untrustworthy). In order to connect, we must risk being hurt. We must figure out ways to handle the pain and emotional turmoil, and trust ourselves that we will get ourselves through it. Until we do this, we will continue to find saviors in our partners where there aren’t any. Until we do this we will continue to be ships passing in the night. And we will continue to blame each other for missing us.

Basically i think everyone must be true and genuine. Be yourself. And respect others. These "rules" or qualities, what ever,don't apply if people use them to manipulate someone. Sooner or later your true colors come up. And that's when problems start. I would reformulate these "rules " to: First, don't lie and don't pretend to be someone you are not. Sooner or later the other person will know who you really are. Second, respect yours and the other person's boundries. Third, be nice and respectful and treat the other person the same way you would like to be treated.
