Ah yes, Mary Tudor, the lady who burned people alive for not believing in her version of God until she eventually died of disease, I'm sure God just needed her in Heaven, I'm sure she went to heaven, the same lady, fictionalized in a TV show where she was ready to marry outside the Catholic faith when a hot fuckboy came to court her...I'm sure this will be brilliant, yeah.
Maybe having Lady Jane Grey beheaded wasn't Mary's finest hour, but we are told that Mary was reluctant to allow it and only really did so because of Protestant rebellions and the men of the time were worse.
jane was a traitor at the end, and yes mary tried to save her life, offering her to convert (because she would be useless for the rebels if she were a catholic) but she didn't accept this. mary was a monarch and had to do what's best for her life and country after all. and yeah, back then the protestant were ruthless and some of them even claimed they wanted to have mary raped and killed
