I know this is 3yrs back but I recently found this vid and all I really want to say is if u do get it at Claire’s there is a 100% chance it won’t get infected if u take care of it properly

Piercing guns are dangerous as they use blunt force to punch the earring through your ear. Where as a needle is much sharper and creates a smooth clean hole. Claire’s uses regular butterfly back earrings that are not suited for the cartilage and the post is way to short to accommodate swelling. In my opinion a gun is okay for lobe piercing. I got my cartilage pierced with a needle and it hurts way less than a gun.
